Clear amber with scant white head. Not much aroma. Big hops throughout, nice body and mouthfeel. Some spice, possibly coriander and orange peel. Bitter finish. Best brew of a disappointing session. bhensonb (15603) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 20, 2007
Draft in the Clackamas pub. Slightly spiced, lightly roasted malt aroma (spiced brown ale). Brown color. Medium body with near creamy carbonation. Mild Xmas spices, maybe a ginger note over smooth brown ale. Finish is a little harshly roasted malt with some sharpish spice. bu11zeye (13140) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 7, 2005
(Draught) Pours a cloudy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of holiday spices (cinnamon, allspice, ginger, nutmeg). Flavor of mild hops and winter spices. douglas88 (9570) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 13, 2013
On tap at the always fun Imbre Hall. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head, some ruddiness to the appearance. The aroma is fresh fruity hops and spices. The flavor mirrors this with lots of hops and lighter spices, a medium malt balance with chocolate and pale malt. Pretty nice, very drinkable. 3fourths (9357) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 23, 2003
Cloudy amber. Mellow palate, soft spiced apples and cinnamon on top of some orange and pear. Sweet cherry aroma. Lacking depth and excitement.

Clear dark amber color/ beige head. Tea leaf, spicy hop, toasted caramel aromas. medium bodied. Lightly sweet, toasted spicy caramel flavors with tea leaf, woody hops, nicely bitter finish. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAY 5, 2007
Draught @ John Barleycorns: Thick hazy amber, moderate off-white foamy head, clingy lacing. Soft malt aroma, oddly enough a little
cheese and horseblanket. Otherwise very non-descript. Malty on the tongue, slight sweetness, but not very spicy as the description
suggests. Smooth overall, low hop profile, moderate body and mouthfeel. Clean finish, comes across as a heftier Amber Ale. Not that
special, otherwisea fairly decent sessionable beer. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - JAN 21, 2009
Pint – McMenamins Mill Creek – Mill Creek, WA – Nice hoppy flavor good brown color and malts where well balanced. This finishes dry and has a light earthy flavor. The spices where noticeable and not overwhelming this was a well brewed beer. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 5, 2008
Tap... Poured a dark ruby with a thin head. Spicy malt aroma. Pretty mellow palate, pretty good combination of hops, malt and all the Christmas-sy spices that are in there, which makes you warm right up. You can really taste the Ginger and the alcohol is very subtle but it adds to that warmth. I’d have to say, this is more
impressive than I thought. BillKismet (4103) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 13, 2007
Pours a perfect holiday pint of full amber- bodied ale with a crisp, albeit, quickly fading head. Mild, pleasant warm spice aroma. Cinnamony flavor with other spices in the background.
