nice pinkish tint. made with grapefruit. very clean non bity kind of taste. suprisingly effective in a bottle. about the only good thing i got from working at this company. clearly the best they make in my opinion. Nuffield (4171) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - MAR 16, 2004
Mild aroma, and the flavor comes through the tasting with a one-second delay. Drinkable, gentle, with a seltzer-water like quick finish. Hazy pink grapefruit juice appearance. (on tap at Ringlers/Crystal Ballroom, Portland) Sham (1844) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 6, 2004
Light, hazy golden pour. Small head and a little lace. Blended malts and raspberry. There goes the raspberries in the flavor. Not a lot else present. Fuzzy palate, almost like eating one of the berries. Good if you like raspberries... a lot. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - FEB 3, 2004
Hazy gold color with a light creamy head . The aroma is very light, almost non-existant, a touch of raspberry, but it could be discounted easily. Finishes lightly malty and surprisingly good. Almost no flavor here. A run of the mill cookie cutter franchise micro, eh. fly (1486) - austin, Tejas, Texas, USA - FEB 2, 2004
Thin, but also competing with a slew of other beers I had just finished, so I will give it that credit. Nice fruityness that had also to compete with the bittering and very thin body.

UPDATED: APR 29, 2012 Big raspberry aroma on a cloudy orange beer. More of a malty flavor than I expected, crisp and powerful. This is an interestingly good and unique beer. Want more. Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - NOV 17, 2003
Looked a lot like grapefruit juice. Light texture. Light, bready and doughy malts; yeasty; very "wheat-like" flavors. Light raspberry flavors and esters; glad to see the raspberry infusion wasn't overdone. Mild sweetness was cleaned away by the lively carbonation. Dry finish. With every sip, it felt like I wasn't getting anywhere. Reid (2539) - Salem, Oregon, USA - NOV 15, 2003
picked up this in the 22oz bomber on the way home tonight.
I have never had the Ruby before so not sure at all of the correct style.
The beer has a really nice look to it a slightly hazy ..almost luminescent orangy colour..odd to describe but its impressive..extremely small head which dissapears real quick leaving a slight lace down the glass.
The smell of the beer is very fruity..almost raspberry..with some nice malt and only a trace of hop near the end . Its good though.
Feels very nice on the tongue good carbonation and not too dry..nice.
This is a most drinkable brew indeed..I could easilly quaff many pints of this little beauty on a summers day! xsketchyx (184) - Oregon, USA - OCT 27, 2003
Not bad for a fruit beer, key words being for a fruit beer. Awfully sweet. Someone told me this was good mixed with their terminator stout, but why ruin a perfectly good terminator stout? OldGrowth (3474) - the Containment Area, North Carolina, USA - OCT 6, 2003
Draft @ Kennedy school: Light raspberry nose. Cloudy pink grapefruit color.Lite raspberry with pale malt taste. Watery clean finish. Too lite for my preference.
