Over 55 pounds of hand-macerated, fresh, whole raspberries are used in every batch. Taste the original!

This is one of my favorite beers in the thre whole beer drning world. This beer goes down awsome and tastes so good. The flarvor is full all the way through from start to finish. I love the undertones and the small hint of Raspberries. Hey McMenamins can I have the recipie? Great beer. ALso try the Rubinator a mix between this and the Terminator stout it is awesome.

Bottle. Quite fruity raspberry aroma. Cloudy orange colour, small white head. Fruity flavour with a hint of raspberry, a little watery. The aftertaste is also very raspberryish. I guess the berry flavour is well done, but it does not do much for me. This needs to be mixed with Terminator Stout to be very enjoyable.

Sample at Dad Watsonss. Pale color of pink grapefruit juice. Very cloudy with a finely-beaded foam halo. Smells of raspberry and perfumed soap. Very light wheat beer flavor, Gatorade-ish, dificult to identify the fruit as raspberry. Thin, weak palate. Completely inoffensive and somehow refreshing. A wine cooler alternative for sorority airheads (apologies to sorority girls outside of that category, and to anybody who likes this beer.)

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2005 Underrated beer! Ive had this a number of times and each time I am respecting it more and more. A pinkish colour with a very fruity taste. Not too heavy, yet not horribly light. An all around delicious treat.

Nice, full, pinkish white head, ruby-red grapefruity color. Sweet, fruity aroma, definitely raspberries, cherries, reminiscent of a kriek lambic aroma, but just a little. Hops are very low, to non-existent, extremely low bitterness, light body, slight finish. The fruity flavor persists, but theres little texture, little body, as un-ale-like as an ale can get, but I can get, and basically respect, what they are getting at. This is their "girls beer". Fruity, but not hoppy. Passably enjoyable. Sampled late September 2002

(Draft: Dad Watsons in Seattle, WA) This girlie beer has a fairly strong and tart raspberry flavor dominating throughout, but its very light flavored in general; Light bodied, lightly carbonated with a very thin finish; The nose is mostly lightly tart raspberry, with some vague wheat aromas; Golden in color, slightly cloudy, perhaps with a pink tint, but the bar is dark, so the 1-watt lamp doesnt make for reliable viewing; Whitish head is mostly just a rim around the glass and a thin sheen
