(Draft: Dad Watson’s in Seattle, WA) This girlie beer has a fairly strong and tart raspberry flavor dominating throughout, but it’s very light flavored in general; Light bodied, lightly carbonated with a very thin finish; The nose is mostly lightly tart raspberry, with some vague wheat aromas; Golden in color, slightly cloudy, perhaps with a pink tint, but the bar is dark, so the 1-watt lamp doesn’t make for reliable viewing; Whitish head is mostly just a rim around the glass and a thin sheen 3fourths (9367) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 10, 2004
Light pink, strawberries and wheat, semi-tart flavor, some biting yeast flavors. Peppy, better than the average fruity beer... the tartness being the main reason. Volgon (2761) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 27, 2004
RBSG 2004, on tap: Murky grapefruit colored. Big sweet raspberry aroma, starts and ends lightly sweet with an acidic ending. Both watery and fizzy. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 24, 2004
(RBSG04) Cloudy pink grapefruit body. Aroma is medium sweet, some caramel, light raspberry. Taste is mild sweet, light raspberry. Light body. jsquire (4662) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - JUL 21, 2004
On tap at the Kennedy School pub. Funky pinky orange hazy color that reminded me of soda pop. Thin white head. It was very lively on the palate, like a berry flavored pop. Light and fruity. I don’t like light and fruity.

Tap. Hazy light-grapefruits (huh?? That’s what my rating sheet says anyway). Not much of an aroma: just light raspberries. This does carry into the taste but then fades into an undesirable finish. No bueno. HumuloneRed (765) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 19, 2004

Roadhouse. Made with fresh raspberries and it shows! Pink lemonaid looking with good head and lacing. Nice raspberry/wheat aroma. Tart berry flavor with some bready notes and a light dry finish.
UPDATED: DEC 20, 2004 I can get this on tap at about 10 different places within walking distance of my house in Portland. Ruby is a great summer beer: nice and easy-drinking, pleasantly fruity with a great wheat flavor and character. It’s light and smooth on the palate, yet finishes with a delicious flourish. This is a great one to have on the way back home from work. beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - MAY 11, 2004
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2006 Pours bright reddish color, slightly hazy, with a small white head. Aroma was filled with what i thought was strawberry then latter corrected to raspberry, very fruity. Taste was very fruity with the sweet raspberry taste and very little hop bitterness. Very smooth and dry beer with decent lacing and the taste stays for a while. I really enjoyed this. finally, a raspberries actually tasted like real raspberries and they weren't dominating. Decent underlying wheat. This is one of the better fruit beers I've had.
