Over 55 pounds of hand-macerated, fresh, whole raspberries are used in every batch. Taste the original!

Smells of raspberry and tastes like raspberry too! Slightly too fizzy, but nicely refreshing. (K)

Ruby tinted pale orange body. Definitely plenty of raspberries, lots of creaminess as well. ripe fruits, sweet ant somewhat tart. Some hints of wheat as well. Body is watery and thin, but has a lively palate.

On tap at Old St. Francis School in Bend. Pours ruby indeed. A fruity, light ale. Not too sweet like some, but also not very strong. A light, crisp low-alcohol sipper for the hot summer days.

On tap at Eugene’s North Bend location. Grapefruit colored with very little head. Aroma of raspberries and sugar. It mostly tastes like grapefruit flavored sparkling water. Dry finish. Fairly weak on the palate.

Cloudy golden amber color with a thin head. Very fruity aroma and flavor. The sweetness is startling at first, but it is well balanced. My only complaint is that the raspberry flavor overpowers any other malt or yeast flavors, but it doesn’t matter. This is still a pleasant ale all around.

Fruity-berry taste, very fruity. (one taster said it was like bad applejuice). There is a soury flavor. Very nice ruby grapefruit color

maltdog (626) - New Mexico, USA - MAY 19, 2005
Sample at Dad Watsons’s. Pale color of pink grapefruit juice. Very cloudy with a finely-beaded foam halo. Smells of raspberry and perfumed soap. Very light wheat beer flavor, Gatorade-ish, dificult to identify the fruit as raspberry. Thin, weak palate. Completely inoffensive and somehow refreshing. A wine cooler alternative for sorority airheads (apologies to sorority girls outside of that category, and to anybody who likes this beer.)

Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and slight citric aroma. Smooth fruity, peachy and mild citric. Smooth and fruity flavoured finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not bad, but nothing really great. The fruit flavoring is pretty evident, and the alcohol is nonexistent. I’d much rather have a Hammerhead.
