On tap @ McMenamins Barley Mill. Hazed orange-pink-red pour with a creamy white head. Bready malt mixed with slightly tangy berry. Dehydrated raspberry and some pretty decent cereal notes. The flavor is kind of tangy and also a bit sweet. Maybe some vanilla and bread dough. A little soda-like. Pretty nice.

Draft - Pale malts and some biscuit. Cloudy yellow gold with a decent white head. Raspberry and not to sweet but jammy. Typical for what it is.

Bottle. Quite fruity raspberry aroma. Cloudy orange colour, small white head. Fruity flavour with a hint of raspberry, a little watery. The aftertaste is also very raspberryish. I guess the berry flavour is well done, but it does not do much for me. This needs to be mixed with Terminator Stout to be very enjoyable.

bhensonb (15489) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 3, 2007
Draft at McMenamins Sunnyside. Aroma of floral and fruit. Guava to me. Raspberry they say. Pink grapefruit color with a white head. Wheat and light grapefruit to start. It didn’t turn into raspberry for me until the finish, which was otherwise wheat. Found no bitter in the finish. Nice and refreshing though.

Lubiere (14110) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 18, 2009
A pink grapefruit coloured ale with a thin white head. A faint raspberry pop aroma, with cotton candy sweetness. In mouth, a light sweetish raspberry pop, very light and watery, light sour points, uninteresting. On tap at Six Arms, Seattle, Sept. 12 2009.

Bottle at Craig’s. Sweet raspberry on nose, light toffee, tart, fruity, not bad!

Blind tasted with 4 other "amber" ales. Beers were: 1. Hale’s Red Menace Big Amber 2. Moab Brewery Dead Horse Amber Ale 3. Woodland Empire Moon Dog 4. Lake Effect Whoopskibier 5. McMenamins Ruby Ale. Rater 1 rated the beers 35142 Rater 2 (Me): THEY ALL SUCK Rater 3:15342.

473ml can thanks Scott. Hazed amber pour. Tart aroma, cidery. Flavor is apple cider, not very beerlike.

Post tasting thoughts:
I lumped this in with some amber ales not knowing it was a raspberry beer. It sucked either way.

Dogbrick (13389) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 15, 2010
Sample at Thompson Brewery and Public House in Salem. The beer is a cloudy pinkish-orange color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of raspberries and malt. Light clean body with flavors of fresh raspberries, sweet malt and a bit of wheat. The finish is fruity and does not linger very long. Just average overall.

bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 7, 2005
(Draught) Pours a lightly cloudy orangish-red body with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt and berries. Falvor of raspberries and malt. Light, refreshing American fruit beer.
