Keg @ McMenamins Lighthouse. Somewhat hazy medium brown pour with a modest khaki head. Gentle toasted grain and chocolate aromas. The beers just a bit tart, which jars unpleasantly against smooth chocolate malt and toffee flavors. Medium body, fine carb. Not ideal.

It takes a while for the nuttiness to break through, but when it does, its great. Sampled at the University of Oregon campus location.

On tap at their roseburg, Oregon jam. Pours medium brown, passes some light. Small off white head that disappears. Mild sweetness, malt and light caramel. Minimal caracter but not terrible at the same time.

On tap at the Spar Cafe in Olympia. Pours a murky brown with a thin white head. Has a disgusting aroma of diacetyl. The vinegary flavor is indicative of an infection. This beer was absolutely horrible.

Nose is mostly toasted nuts with a slight hint of roast. Pours brownish red with a minimal head. The flavor is also very toasy and nutty with soft roast and underlying sweetness. Easy to drink. Very basic but not flawed.
