Nice malty smell and taste. Hints of chocolate and nuts. Not too heavy tasting. Slightly fizzy, but otherwise a really nice Stout. (K) PorterPounder (8391) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 2, 2016
Portland, Or - on tap at Kennedy School. Pitch black pour, mocha colored head, nice film of lace.Neutral aroma, hints of fresh lake water. Bitter flavor, day old coffee, chocolate, topsoil. Nice dry mouthfeel. crispaire (257) - - SEP 23, 2016
Black as obsidian pour from the draft. Thin creamy head. Full bodied smoooth brew. The lingering finish reminds one of roasty grains, nuts, and bitter dark chocolate. Capa (3704) - DC, Washington DC, USA - SEP 1, 2016
Dark with a tan head. Roasted malt, chocolate, light coffee, vanilla, a bit of dark fruit underneath. A very solid stout. Aquilo (660) - Berkeley, California, USA - JUL 12, 2016
Black with a creamy tan head and some lace. Rich roasty coffee and hazelnut aroma. Mellow bitter flavor. Just a damn good stout.

Tap at Queen Anne in Seattle. Aroma is roasty with a hint of licorice. Taste isn’t very good. Bitter with an artificial flavor. Meh. JoshRaburn (721) - - MAY 1, 2016
Kind of Guinessey, but a little more rich and milky. A bit like Camden Ink Stout from London - I wonder if Camden was deliberately copying this? penstemon (224) - Washington, USA - JAN 25, 2016
Almost black with a tan head. Aromas of char and coffee. Taste is lots of coffee, slight nut, char, and dark roasted malt. Medium body, fairly low carb. Sarlacc83 (2465) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 1, 2015
A: Very black with a thin creme head.
N: Char, roast, big malt profile with tones of chocolate, vanilla, and some nuttiness. Light earth.
T: Substantial sweetness with a light balancing bitterness.
M: Medium body, creamy carb, light alcohol.
O: Much prefer the coffee version of this. It’s decent but I would prefer it drier and more bitter. andrewje41 (4624) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - SEP 26, 2015
Draft pour pint at the McMenamins Crystal Ballroom. O.A.R! O.A.R! O.A.R! Traveling around to see their tour has the fortunate consolation of trying new beers in each city. Brewery owned music venues will hopefully catch on quick. Pours black with a thick tan foam head. Roasted malt aroma. Matching flavor with a rich chocolate finish. Not bad at all. Had myself a brew, relax for a delicate few.
