UPDATED: OCT 10, 2015 "one of their best, this beer has a highlt roasted chocolate aroma, medium bodied and slightly dry, with nice balance between ample hops and roasted malt, chocolate, and a hint of dark fruit, & nuts. Not quite a standout, but close."

Opaque black with a one-finger tan head and moderate lace. Roasted coffee and bittersweet chocolate, with bits of toffee and nuts. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel and a gently bitter finish. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - JUL 4, 2014
Draught in a flight at the Mill Creek brewpub. Pours a very dark brown color. Nose is roasty with some coffee elements. Taste is similar, being lightly bitter and toasty. Ends up being nearly indistinguishable from their Porter, which was disappointing. stevoj (4956) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAY 20, 2014
Body is lacking, decent overall aroma and flavor but kind of weak in body and substance. fiulijn (20411) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 12, 2014

Black color with beige compact head. Soft Stout, with moderate residual sweetness, a bit of lactose, some roasted malt, ordinary bitterness.
Tap at White Eagle Saloon, Portland. Colour is black with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Coffee, dark chocolate, sweetness, and roasted malts. Davhgbrew (948) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 26, 2013
Smooth and black. Silky texture like nitro. Med palate. Sweet toasted malt flavor in the middle and finish. Easy drinking at 6.45%. Slight coffee, but just a little to sweet for my palate. Ttrunk (58) - California, USA - JUL 16, 2013
First stout beer I have enjoyed in about a year. It was delicious with a beautiful color

Really palatable stout. Not too dark and totally refreshing. Order as a "Rubinator" mixed with their Ruby fruit beer for full PDX experience.
