A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt and coffee. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of roasted malt, and coffee, that gets weaker as it runs thru the mouth. The end is dry and roasted, and underway the carbondioxide tickles the tongue. joergen (28716) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 8, 2006

Black color with beige compact head. Soft Stout, with moderate residual sweetness, a bit of lactose, some roasted malt, ordinary bitterness.
On tap at The Ram Hotel, Portland. I took this back as to my taste it was sour and off. I was assured it was fine. I was given a fresh sample and told it was fine even though it tasted the same. It is black with a beige head. Almost entirely awful. Sour, off and disgusting. I can’t drink it. Oakes (18166) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 9, 2001
UPDATED: MAR 19, 2006 Dark brown. Mild chocolate aroma. Nutty, chocolatey body is quite mild, a bit smooth and with an off-dry finish. Straightforward, porterish.
