Man, this is a tough one for me. The color was pitch black, opaque, with a very small light brown head. The aroma was very bitter, chocolate, and dry dog food(!). The flavor was full of chocolate and hops bitterness...a combination that just didn't work for me this time. The feel was far too watery...not really thin, but definitely not carbonated enough.

slushy (28) - Niagara Falls, New York, USA - SEP 24, 2003
Black with a nice tan head... don't be shy with the pour, just let it rush out of the bottle. Characol, chocolate, and caramel in the nose. Roasted coffee, chocolate, and slight characol on the tongue. This Stout slides down the throat in a soothing way. One great beer for breakfast or anytime.... this could be a session Stout for me.

Kåstå (1273) - Mol, BELGIUM - SEP 19, 2003
Tobacco and chocolade aroma. Sharp tobacco taste with a soft dry bitter coffee finish. Quite ok.

CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - AUG 21, 2003
Appealing rich thick black with a good dense brown head. Caramel, toffee, roasted coffee bean aroma. Smooth flavorful body, good subtle sweetness and nice drinkablility. My only complaint is that it's a little thinner than it appears.

Radek Kliber (7470) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - AUG 18, 2003
Dark brown, small creamy looking head .Aroma - malt roasted almost to perfection, strong and soft at once. Flavour was lighter and body was a bit to thin. If it was not so light /thin this would be great beer.

joeycapps (1468) - Waterdown, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 18, 2003
Black w/ ruby hue. Brown head. Robust aroma of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, & figs. Feel is slightly thin for style. Some roasty bitterness but flavours wash out & are somewhat watery.
