Bottled. An unclear brown beer with a thin bubbly orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of chocolate, citrus, and hops. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of citrus, but also hops. I find the body a bit thin - inspite of the 9% ABV - lack of residual sugar? joergen (28456) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 31, 2007

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Cletus. Pours a clear deep amber with a small off-white head. Caramel, overripe fruit, herbal hoppiness. Solid body, carbonation is a little low, herbal and almost medicinal, again overripe fruit. Not that hoppy - actually even sweet in the finish with a tart touch. 170611 Oakes (17831) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 19, 2003
Muddy dark amber-brown. Aroma of Lyle's Golden Syrup. Very sweet palate...oranges, nuts, earth...a little toffee in the finish, but you really have to be in the mood for sweet to enjoy this. jtclockwork (16701) - , New Jersey, USA - SEP 18, 2010
Bottle. Pours muddy brown. Nose and taste of Belgian yeast, brown sugar, burnt orange, fruits and figs. More like a barleywine than an old ale. Very yeasty. Lots of fruit flavors. MiP (15920) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - OCT 12, 2011
