bomber aquired in trade with shcufj on the other site. enjoyed with buddy coldbrewky. tan capped by a luxurious silky off white head that refuses to go away. Stong hop prescense in the nose, mainly pine. taste is all hop up front slightly cleansed by and good malt backbone, bitterness is there but not overpowering. More balanced than what I generally like in an IPA, but tasty none the less. medium bodied. Rated via BeerBuddy

Un-Muzzling Olde Muzzlehatch Ratings, #101. 22 ounce bottle given to me by my brother, consumed in my apartment in Burlington, VT, late January 2011. Typically cloudy, turbid, yeasty pour with a big head that is almost explosive - a McNeills trademark! - body orangish-dark amber, head lasting...aroma is mostly citric (orange, grapefruit) with notes of other fruits - mango, perhaps passion fruit - and somewhat raw/harsh...body is yeasty, with bready pale malts fairly evident though the citric hoppy tartness and bitterness not surprisingly dominate...full mouthfeel, strong carbonation. I was fairly over my love affair with McNeills at this point, and this didn’t push me back, but it was a nice enough effort and the couple of bottles I had in 2011-12 were uninfected and fresh - not always a given with this brewery!

Pale yellow. No head. Sweet corn and rice and cotton candy with a touch of table sugar. Quite hoppy with pine needles and tree bark and European hops, creamed corn sweet finish

A good summertime IPA here. Grassy on the palate with the hops that keep this one going.

vikingguy (1106) - Carver, Minnesota, USA - FEB 8, 2013
Hazy honey gold color with tall foamy white head and big lacing. A fruity, citrusy, yeasty aroma. Very hop forward. Grassy, fruity, piney hops. Ample carmamel malt backbone. A slight soapiness at the end but overall a solid but not exceptional IPA.

(Rating #4372)

On tap at the 20th Vermont Brewers Festival. Pale clear orange with a nice white head. Lots of citrus with orange zest and grapefruit being the most prominent, bit of malt. Moderate body and mild carbonation, light on the palate but tasty, worth seeking out.

In the range of IPAs, this one is pretty good. Not great, but I’d drink it regularly. Not much of an aroma. Strong head retention. Medium orange color. Bitter with good hop flavor.

Volgon (2763) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 5, 2012
Bomber: Pours a clear orange with a medium white head, aroma has grasses and oranges, starts and ends lightly bitter.

nsquishee (641) - Richfield, Minnesota, USA - JUL 21, 2012
Very boozy, very hoppy, and loaded with citrus notes. Very refreshing, but still a decent malt presence. Not bad. I just wish it was a bit less boozy (surprising for only 6.8%).
