At McSorleys ale is well. McSorleys Irish Pale Ale is from the old house at home. Established in 1854 in NYC and brewed by McSorleys Brewery in Wilks-Barre, PA. Brewed in the tradition of the historic walls of McSorleys Old Ale House. It took 116 years, the pressure of public opinion and ultimately the authority of a court order for McSorleys to surrender. By the mid 1970s, McSorleys allowed woman inside the bar at 15 E. 7th St for the very first time. Ah, but the owners did not completely forgo tradition, women would wait until 1986 to get their own restroom.

Rated on 01-12-2010 (Bottle) This beer forms a small very fizzy off-white head that mostly diminishes, transparent orange body with a golden tint, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The Aroma is caramel malt, spicy, citrus and pine hops. The Taste is bitter, caramel malt and citrus hops. The Palate is tingly and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer is not over-the-top hoppy tasting and does not have a lot of character.

10/06/2010: McSorleys Irish Pale Ale... Aroma: Biscuit malt; floral and grassy hoppiness; edge of honey. Appearance: Very nice pour; rich golden color with a slight chill haze; fluffy and frothy heaf of beige-colored foam; moderate carbonation; lasting head. Flavor: Doughy honeycomb maltiness with a touch of toasty butterscotch in the middle; moderate floral and grassy hoppiness and bitterness; bright, leafy hops; dry, grassy and herbal finish; nicely balanced overall. Palate: Medium body; super smooth; slightly creamy; filling. Overall: Nice, enjoyable, mildly interesting; quite under-rated.

12 fl. oz. bottle from Party Town in Florence, KY. Rating #161 for this beer.

Caramel malt nose. Sweet malty flavor with little hops, dry alcohol finish. Does have a raw Irish character, but a bit too bland.

Not much. Tastes malty and watery. Macro tasting with a bit more flavor maybe nutty and grassy in there with the metallic sweet backbone.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, copper in color with a nice off white head. Lots of lacing. Malty, caramel nose with some hints of hops... Taste is not great but it is a solid and drinkable malty (a bit too sweet) beer some hops are present but not that noticeable. OK Beer.
