330 ml bottles. Unpasteurised, but filtered and artificially carbonated. Now mainly sold as Sainsbury's Viennese Style Amber Lager (Summer only).
A 'small batch' copper coloured lager combining lightly kilned Vienna and Munich malts to create a gentle balance of caramel and fruit flavours. Its subtle sweetness and rich barley taste is underpinned by the gentle spice of its Hallertau and Spalter hops.

Thin tan head, clear amber body. Sweet malt and toffee aroma. Sweet malty flavor as well with notes of caramel and chocolate and some hoppy hints in the end. A nice and highly drinkable vienna!

ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 25, 2006

Bottle, at the London gathering, November 2005. Well, its amber. No surprise there. Perhaps a quite deep amber. There’s some treacle, and a hint of licorice, plus a touch of bitterness thrown in. Not very assertive and a bit too smooth for its own good. Middle of the road in every respect. At least I won’t now have to buy four of them to bag the scoop.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2005 Bottled at the Chris_O Beer, Cheese and Curry powwow. A mid brown coloured beer with no head. The aroma is sweet and toasty with the vienna malts coming through. The taste is sweet and a little tinny. Also slightly nutty but not overly pleasant.

Mungo (2470) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - NOV 14, 2005
Bottle at London Gathering. Rounded caramel and faint nuts. Cloying sweetness without balance.

duff (5484) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 13, 2005
Bottle. fairly sweet, with a flat, slightly dull mouthfeel. Nutty malt characters, with brown sugar and caramel, on the thin side body/flavourwise. Slightly stale mouthfeel.

harrisoni (19189) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 27, 2005
330ml bottle from Sainsburys. Red beer with beige lasting head. Nice rich fruit and hoppy nose. coffee and chocolate with toffee in mouth also a bit grainy but overall a really nice beer and the best of this style I have had

Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 17, 2005
UPDATED: JUL 3, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Comes as "Sainsbury’s Vienna Style Amber Lager" at 5,0% ABV. Beautiful dark amber-colour with some red thrown in. Clear and filtered without much head. Very soft with a sweetish malt-character. Caramel and nuts in there too. Not much bitterness. Close to perfect for it’s type. 200405
