Bottled. Amber coloured. Clear. Beige small head. Sweet and fruity aroma with some distinct flowery notes. Flavour is a little less sweet. Dominated by flowers and herbs with some light caramel notes. Quite pleasant and easy to go to. Medium bodied with a quite smooth mouthfeel. Is balanced. Ends on a light bitter caramelly note. This copper red beer has a lot of foam, that decides that it would be very fun not to stay in the bottle, so it is all over the place like a bunch of rowdy puppies. The aroma has notes of aroma hops, and roasted malt, and the flavour notes of caramel, roasted malt, fruit, candy sugar and the malt is much more pronounced than the bitterness. An OK vienna. Bottle. Orange head. Clear dark red body. Aroma of oranges and hops. Smooth mouthfeel and hops dominated flavor, however also caramel and oranges. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - NOV 14, 2005
UPDATED: DEC 1, 2005 Bottled at the Chris_O Beer, Cheese and Curry powwow. A mid brown coloured beer with no head. The aroma is sweet and toasty with the vienna malts coming through. The taste is sweet and a little tinny. Also slightly nutty but not overly pleasant. chriso (7536) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 1, 2005
Bottle, at the London gathering, November 2005. Well, its amber. No surprise there. Perhaps a quite deep amber. There’s some treacle, and a hint of licorice, plus a touch of bitterness thrown in. Not very assertive and a bit too smooth for its own good. Middle of the road in every respect. At least I won’t now have to buy four of them to bag the scoop.

330 ml bottle. Mahogany body with a light brown head that disappears. Real good looking anyway. A bit vague aroma of caramel and fruit. Flavor is sweet malty, some brown sugar and low bitterness. Thin body and short finish, not a very memorable beer. Emil (6064) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 16, 2006
Bottle. Ruby colour with a off-white head. Sweet caramel malty, fruity, light hoppy aroma and taste, light dry. Medium body with a light sweet finish. SilkTork (5919) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - APR 15, 2003
UPDATED: APR 16, 2003 Attractive bottle bought at the Greenwich Union pub. At only 330ml but with a £2.90 price tag, this is an expensive purchase for a delicate and tasty, but rather unimpressive lager. Darjeeling colour with light, frothy, fast vanishing head. Slight biscuit aroma. Low carbonation, quickly becoming quite flat. An iron bite with mild sweetness finishing in a nice, clean bitterness. Delicate, but dull. Added comment: The finish went on for ever. A long, soft and quite delicious hoppy bitterness that stayed with me for the rest of the evening. Lovely! I'm upping the points a bit. I wish there was a mark for Finish. johndoughty (5600) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 28, 2003
A reasonable try at imitating a lovely but rare, certainly in Britain style.Red appearance with a rather thin hoppy taste.
Suppose we should appreciate a brewery that is prepared to be different and a supermarket chain that is prepared to move away from the ordinary. DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 4, 2006
Really nice appearance. Aroma is nutty with the citrusy/grassy hops balancing well. Taste is similar with a good chewyness too it. Could session for about 10 weeks.
