A reasonable try at imitating a lovely but rare, certainly in Britain style.Red appearance with a rather thin hoppy taste.
Suppose we should appreciate a brewery that is prepared to be different and a supermarket chain that is prepared to move away from the ordinary. thebeertourist (5189) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 28, 2007
Nice bottle, labelled AMBA. Bronze witha small offwhite head. Caramel and raisins aroma. Initially sweet with lots of fruit, some more bitterness, but not quite enough to balance. Nice enough, but a bit too sweet. ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 25, 2006
Light hazy deep amber colour with a small tan head. Sweet malty aroma with an orange fruityness and notes of hops. Hoppy bitter flavor with a faint caramel sweetness and a light dry finish. tiggmtl (4545) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 19, 2006
Floral hops with some orange citrus notes balance against tired toasty, bready malts in the aroma. Clear dark copper coloured body is topped by a thin, fizzy, off white head that recedes rapidly to ring. Bready malts and strong orange hop flavour with plenty of tannins leading to a metallic finish. Dry, light-medium body with prickly, strong carbonation. Bottle (BB 04-Nov-06) sampled at West brewpub in Glasgow (May-06). DanielBrown (4502) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - AUG 13, 2004
Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Beautiful red hue, with a tasty caramel aroma, with a slightly sour malt edge. Head quickly b’huggers off. Thin body with a metallic quality on top of a lagery malt body. A very sweet, sugary quality. Rich, yet lagery; good, yet rubbish. Not bad - perhaps it’s just not my favourite style.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2007 Bottle, from Sainsburys. Deep bronze, thin shortlived white head and gentle condition. Sweet toffee and caramel in the nose, slightly smoky and with spirity esters as it warms, good earthy hoppiness in the mouth with some sweet caramel and a gentle roasted bitterness which lingers into the finish with a low caramel sweetness and a touch of hop bitterness at the end.

Dark red colored, little light brown head. Aroma is excellent: nuts, sweetness, caramel, vinous tones and coffee in aroma. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is not as good as aroma: mild nuts, caramel and hops. Aftertaste has some dryness and caramel. ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 19, 2008
Bottled. Pours out in a clear amber colour with a low white foam. Caramel, mild flowers, sweat and apricots. Medium to light-bodied with notes of caramel, brown sugar, toasted malts and mild flowers. Low hoppiness. Toasted grains, caramel, sweet oranges, flowers and brown sugar in malty but short finish. Not sure what it’s supposed to be but i’s to sweet for me. Thin tan head, clear amber body. Sweet malt and toffee aroma. Sweet malty flavor as well with notes of caramel and chocolate and some hoppy hints in the end. A nice and highly drinkable vienna!
