COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep copper Brown Ale with roasted malt caramel-like fullness and a medium body. The beer is balanced with the firm clean bitterness of American Amarillo Hops, that whilst not strong in flavour or bitterness, are crucial to the overall complexity of this beer. Roast Caramel Malt and Milk Chocolate–like flavours are the hallmark of an American Style Brown Ale.

Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - FEB 22, 2017
Poured into a mug, the appearance was a dark red almost brown color with a white rocky foamy head. Some stringy lace.
The aroma had some roasted malts, clean and sweet touching some caramel, toffee and nuts, light dark fruits and some apples. Mild milk chocolate, sly vanilla. And then some citrusy crisp hops.
The flavor touches the sweet side initially and then picks up portions of some controlled bittering hops. It’s there, I can taste it. Shows some effort to want to blend, but mostly stays apart. Some clean balancing roasty malts and bitter hops try to blend into the aftertaste. Quick malty sort of dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. ABV felt right.
Overall, I think I drank it at the right time for an Autumn seasonal, drink last year’s batch up now, I don’t think this will last much longer.

daje (4548) - NORWAY - MAR 5, 2013
Bottle, december 28th 2012. Dark red body, unclear, with big offwhite head. Malty and sweet taste, syrup and caramel, luckily someone was clever enough to toss in some fruity aroma hops too, works well with the peach contrast. Taste is also very sweet, again syrup, with chocolate, roasted malt fruity and piney hops. Works well, but more hops could be used to justify the ’american’ part of the name. Finish is roasty with chocolate.

Svesse (8831) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JAN 10, 2013
(Bottle) Reddish brown colour with dense, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark bread, ryvita, dried fruit, toffee and a touch of orange peel. Malty, roasted taste with crisp-bread, dried fruit, brown sugar, chocolate, a touch of cacao, orange and a gentle citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well balanced and quite nice.

Overall: Very rich and rewarding multi-dimensional brown ale.
