"Porter style Ale. Chocolate and beer! Are we Mad? We’d rather say passionate. We marry the soothing flavour of this complex malt barley grist with a hint of dark chocolate. This is a beer for your more self-indulgent moments. Great for lazy afternoons or long evenings, it is best served chilled with your feet up, watching the sun go down. Like we say – chilled."
"A silky-smooth suppertime beer, created using dark malts and chocolate. Pronounced vanilla notes fuse the chocolate and malts together to give a rich, warming, flavour that also works well as a complement to fruity desserts, summer puddings and autumn berries."

gunnarolis (33) - Reykjavík, ICELAND - DEC 18, 2010
Pours black with red-ish hue. Nice two finger tan head. Aroma is of vanilla, and well, chockolate. Not the dark chocolate, but more milk chockolate. Light to medium light body, low carbonation and heavy cocoa and chockolate flavor. Interesting to taste, but would not buy again.

Lubiere (13911) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 27, 2010
A clear dark brown porter with a thin brown head. Aroma of chocolate and light sulfyry notes, with some notes of licorice. In mouth, a smooth sweetish porter with silky chocolate and light torrefied coffee. Very attenuated. Bieropholie import.

gunnar (9094) - Sandnes, NORWAY - OCT 4, 2010
Bottle. Pours dark amber with a big frothy tanned head. Big chocolate aroma. Taste is more roasted malts, with a good amount of lovely chocolate and vanilla. Creamy body. Lingering chocolate and moderate bitter end. Nice and good beer.

probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 3, 2010
330 ml (elegant) bottle from Bieropholie, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Deep (but not quite opaque) brown-black with a greying-tan rim. Aroma: Some definite chocolate (bordering on artificial?), coconut, vanilla, lighter roasted coffee, some faint tang and brightness (in a coffee/chocolate way), smells a little watery. Palate: Medium body, fine carbonation. Flav.: Chocolate, toasted coconut, vanilla, a bit of coffee, more playful and candy-like than the nose; dry with low bitterness and a pleasant enough watery chocolate finish.
