A very dark brown beer with a thick dark brown head. The aroma is sweet with nice notes of chocolate with lots of cocoa in it. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of good dark chocolate combined with drying notes of ground cocoa beans, and notes of hard roasted malt giving hints of coffee towards the end. The end is dry and bitter and the notes of chocolate lingers for a long time. If You like chocolate beers, this is right up there with the best. joergen (28162) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 5, 2005

Bottled. Dark brown, dense head. Rich cocoa aroma. Surprisingly dry with short muthfeel. Dark chocolate dominates, but there are some late bitterness to balance it. A good dessert beer. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 17, 2007
(Bottle 33 cl) Black and almost opaque - I do detect a vague tint of orange - and a small, dissipating light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, lightly vinous with some dried fruit. Medium body, roasted, malty notes, dried fruit and a warming alcohol. The finish is lightly bitter. 090407 madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 6, 2011

Warning! Early amateur rating! Remarkable dark porter. Good carbonation with a clear taste of chocolate. That’s chocolate and not chocolatey malt! Not sweet, not bitter but very nice.
