On tap at Bob’s Bar. Dark mud brown pour with thin light tan head and loose stick. Aroma of cocoa, roasted malt. Tastes are earthy, tobacco, peaty wood, rye. Thin to medium palate. Chalky slightly tinny finish. Solid. 7.4 BillWyce (1086) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 9, 2015
Pours lightly hazy red-brown, with a thin, 1-finger bone-colored head. Aroma of roasted coffee mixed with some caramel. Body is medium and somewhat oily, with a light astringency to the finish. Flavor of buttery caramel or toffee beneath a char that gives it a coffee-like flavor. minutemat (5471) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 19, 2015
330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours dark with medium tan head. Aroma is dark malts. No discernible peat presence. Smooth porter with very light chocolate and the faintest hint of coffee. Not amazing. mintzmeet (457) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 10, 2015
Some strong toffee flavors. Actually real real smooth. Fire. Smells syrupy. Dark. Malty. Wahhabi. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - MAY 3, 2015
Draft. From notes. Navel college version. Roasty coffee, woody bourbon notes. Caramel and smokey. Good.

Draft. Dakr brown pour. It doesn’t surprisingly hit you over the head with any type of peat, it is there but subtle, I kind of like that, has some dark fruits and obvious chocolatey bread overtones, not bad. trapped (3147) - New York, TURKEY - FEB 11, 2015
Draught @ Taproom no307. Dark brown with small foamy beige head, faint coffee aroma, thin body, little coffee beans taste, low carbonation, disappointing sweetish finish. This is the third Meantime beer i’ve tried in a row and they are all sweet and sticky! What’s wrong with the Brits? madmitch76 (24785) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2015

7.0% version, clearly intended for the US market. Thanks so much Meantime for allowing us a look in on the action, you are too kind! Clear deep amber - brown beer, tidy cream - tan colour head. Palate is smooth and a little crisp. Dry malts, trace of dark chocolate and very mild coffee. Light lactose. Little paper. Mild fruits before a light dry finish. Very bland, not even getting any peat. Poor show all round from Meantime.
330ml bottle from Beers of Europe, under its US name. 7.0%. Pours dark ruby brown, thick cream head. Aromas of iodine, liquorice, coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is more chocolate, light whisky, woody finish, and a little thin. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 16, 2015
Taster at Jungle Jim’s Barrel-Aged Beer Bash 2015. From a bottle. Mostly clear brown slight red color. Thin ring of off-white head. Few bits of lace. Dark fruit, some chocolate in the nose. A lot of earthiness in the flavor, as well as a bit of an interesting scotch character. Some good cocoa nib. Moderate-plus bitter taste, light to moderate sweet, light dry finish. Medium to bigger body. Kind of crisp, lighter carbonation, mild chewiness. A very solid english barrel-aged porter. Good complexity. I prefer the American way of doing it though, as I usually do...
