Meantime are Britain’s only brewers of authentic India Pale Ale. Small batch production allows us to apply the attention to detail and care we require to produce an authentic IPA especially for you. Pound upon pound of Fuggles & Goldings hops are needed to enable us to achieve the dry hopping rates necessary to recreate this great beer style. Enjoy with hot foods and spicy friends, or vice versa.

Helder amberkleurig bier met ecru kleurige schuimkraag. Geur: wat brood, hoppig, fruitig, sinaasappel, licht alcoholisch. Smaak: licht bitter, hoppig, fruitig. Fris mondgevoel. Dunne body. Matige koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: licht bitter, licht alcoholische gloed, ietwat kruidig.

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2017 Londen IPA. behoorlijk 13 in een dozijn. Relatief bitter zonder wrang te zijn. prima, niets mis mee, maar ook weinig goeds eigenlijk.

33cl bottle at home. Appearance: hazy light amber with medium, white head. Aroma: candied sugar, resin, plant material and some zest. Taste: fairly high sweetness and pretty high bitterness. Notes of earthy yeast, candied sugar, some citrus. Palate: medium bodied, sticky texture and lively carbonation. A bit harsh in the finish. Don’t like it ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bill Becker (1777) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - OCT 17, 2017
From Jun 2006 Poured from corked and caged 750ml bottle a hazy reddish gold with light carbonation and a medium sized head of foam that sticks around forever and has nice lacing. The smell has a nice grassy hoppy nose to it but I also get a good wiff of caramel malt. The taste is big and bold! Huge sweet caramel malt up front with a bit of grassy and citrusy hops(love them Fuggles and Goldings) right behind it and man, after a few sips, you get the feeling that this is gonna balance out but...it doesn't. Make no mistake aboot it, this is a malt dominated IPA and it works so darn well! My hat's off to Meantime! Bottom line: Best example of an English IPA I've ever tasted and I hope to buy more on my next visit to Colorado. Folks, this is a winner!!

Bottle at home, 20/08/17. Clear rich golden with a well appointed off white head that retains well. Nose carries an Old Skool edge with caramel malts, biscuit, orange peel, grass, light spice. Taste comprises toasted grains, straw, light mineral notes, caramel, biscuit, orange pith, lemon rind. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with moderate hop bitterness. Run of the mill Old Skool IPA but sippable I guess.

Bottle split at JF’s, thanks to Tony, 23/08/13. Very lightly hazed golden amber with a good sized light beige head. Nose is caramel malt forward, citrus, hops, grass, bitter hop notes. Taste comprises caramel malts, sugar, light pine, hop notes, bitter orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop bitterness in the finish. Pleasant enough affair, no hop bomb but drinkable stuff.

Geurend naar wrange schil van nectarine, daarna pruim en nectarine en een wrange nasmaak

Leighton (22307) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 26, 2017
Bottle shared in London - thanks to Danny boyo. Pours totally clear yellow-gold with a foamy, pure white head. The aroma holds citrus peel, pale grains, hay. Lig sweet flavour with crackery pale malts, more grains, hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with light dryness, more dirty hay, lemon peel. So so overall.

Keg at the Euston Tap. Pours a dark, slightly cloudy gold with a foamy head. Some citrusy hops on the nose, earth, mild bread. Lightly sweet with tangy fruits, bit more bread. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Some warmth on the finish, bit more tangy citrus. OK.
