Leighton (22027) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 26, 2013
Keg at the Market Porter, London. Pours clear gold with a moderate, white cream head. Dusty caramel in the nose, some toasty malts. Medium sweet flavor with lots of toasty, sugary bread, very faint leaves. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, mostly lightly toasted bread and mellow caramel. Pretty spot-on for a festbier.

Svesse (8731) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JAN 13, 2013
(Draught at London City Airport, London, 25 Nov 2012) Amber colour with brief, frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of toast, orange peel, apricots and hints of yeast. Malty, fruity taste with toast, apricots, orange and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite decent.

Keg @ The Holborn Whippet. Pours deep amber with a tiny head. The nose is eau de cardboard and some light nut. The taste is, well....ever wanted to taste what cardboard glazed with caramel tastes like? Look no further! The truly objectionable taste made it hard to further contemplate the palate etc. Overall, this beer was a true shocker. One to avoid. Also, if the Holborn Whippet wants to ride the ’craft’ wave, they shouldn’t be shilling shit like this to their paying customers.

Finn (7916) - Tromsø, NORWAY - NOV 1, 2010
Tap på Sheffield Tap 30 Sep 10. Lys brun. Veldig lite skum. Litt søt malt i nesen. Smaken er avrundet og preget av malt. Avslutter i søt maltig retning. Kölsch-aktig.

Rune (13359) - Tromsø, NORWAY - NOV 1, 2010
Crystal clear, golden-brown. Low, lacing-head. Slightly roasted malty aroma. Rounded taste character of semi-sweet caramel malts. Clean tasting. Soft and crisp in the mouth. Half, keg at Sheffield Tap 30 Sep 10.

Keg - The Rake, Southwark. Kook’s crawl. Bland lager. Some dirty, firm malt. Few hops. Very dull.

Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 31, 2009
Cask at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 22nd Sept 09. Clear orange amber with a small white head. Grainy aroma that gives the impression of being dry despite some sweet hints. In the mouth it’s quite sweet at first but then a crisp German hop bitterness comes through to dry out the finish. Quite full, weighty palate. Definite kick from the alcohol too.

KnutAlbert (6771) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 17, 2009
Keg at the Brew Wharf A fairly standard lager, this was never the most interesting of styles. Some caramel color and sweetness, OK balance.
