Availabale on draught (keg) and in 330ml bottles. Also sold as Sainsbury’s Raspberry Wheat.
NOTE: This is not the same beer as Raspberry Grand Cru.
Based on a pale, lightly hopped wheat beer, the refreshingly crisp fruitiness, aroma and rich colour come from the addition of fresh raspberry puree during maturation. Balancing tartness with sweetness, on its own it is a delicious aperitif, as well being as a great partner for goat’s cheese, rich pate or anything chocolatey.

Bottle, from Hogsback store, at JF’s Calcutta Cup mini tasting - 02/02/13. Hazed crimson with a thin white head that clears to bubbles around the edge. Nose is slightly soured raspberries, light sugar, Ribena, raspberry syrup. Taste is tarte raspberries, some sugars, light mineral tones. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, sweet in the finish. Ok for what it is - bit of a palate cleanser and probably refreshing on a hot summers day/BBQ.

A hazy red colour with a pinkish head. Quite a tart taste with a good raspberry flavour and some hop taste. Not bad.

(Meantime Raspberry Wheat) From a bottle at NBF ’17. Deep orange colour on the body, tall and thick off-white head on top. Aroma of caramel, raspberries, berries marmalade. Taste is sweet with marmalade, berries. Medium thin body. Okay.

330ml bottle. Cloudy red colour with a dissipating slightly pinkish head. Aroma: tart raspberry and wheat malt. Taste: sour raspberries, wheat, light hops. Light body and carbonation. Not really a whole lot going on here, a bit boring. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Waitrose, pours hazy rose-brown with a lasting fine head and aromas of dry wheat and lightly tart fruit. Palate has a nice balance of lightly spicy malt - more Witbier than Weizen - and sour-sweet raspberry. I like this a lot more than I remember from when it first came out.

planky84 (3371) - Lee, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 14, 2017
Bottle from my mate Wiggy who presumably got it from Lewisham Tesco. Honey coloured pour with a wispy white head. Lots of red berries in the nose, splash of beetroot and toffee apple. Sweet red berry action in the flavour, whisper of sourness. Ok.

Bottle at Bierfestival groningen.(mastercalss). Refrsheing beer, sourish from the raspberries and the wheat. A bit flat at all, maybe I expected more from it.

A fruity, sour wheat which was quite sharp on the tongue. Poured cloudy with lots of fizz which quickly disapated.

MarkoNm (2874) - Novo mesto, SLOVENIA - NOV 8, 2016
Pours a hazy amber-coppery color, topped with medium sized white head, slight ruby undertone and medium lasting. Pleasant fruity note with raspberry syrup and some whatey notes. A slight intial sweetness followed by medium soury fruity taste with a tad puckering acidic feel. Short aftertaste and medium body. Nice one. Easily enjoyable.

I_LUV_BEER (231) - - NOV 2, 2016
Served in a Teku glass from a 330ml bottle. Pours orange-pink colour with a medium off-white head. Aroma is raspberry, yeast, grass, yogurt. Taste is sour, red fruit, yogurt and zesty notes. Medium body with lively carbonation. Tasty, enjoyable and unusual wheat beer.
