Pours clear golden with a medium head. Aroma and flavor are mostly malts. No sign of the promised cascade hops. Palme (4811) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 18, 2011
0.33l bottle. The Union pours a clear dark coppery body with a medium bubbly off-white head. Aroma is dark malty with notes of wet old grass and leafs, thin chocolate paper, light yeast and some really ripe plums and dark burned caramel. Average carbonation, medium to light-bodied and it has a oily mouthfeeling. Tastes dark malty with some thin caramel and it has an unfortunate metallic and burned aftertaste. Can’t see how this has won any awards.. OleR (4804) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 19, 2008

Tap @ Drink Baar as Union Lager. Pours copper with white head. The head stays. Aroma is caramel, malt, metallic, and cherries. Taste is malt, caramel, metallic, watery, mild bitterness and sweetness. Taste gets better as it warms up. Overall: this must be one of the most non-offending beers I have ever tasted, it is very easy to drink.

Bottle - 330ml. Dark amber body with low carbonation and a thin off-white foamy head. Nice malty/hoppy aroma with plummy and flowery hints. Its hoppy taste is well balanced, but is rather thin and lacks complexity. Ends with a decent bitter finish. Good Vienna. mile (3947) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 27, 2011
