(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Thomas_E. Clear, dark, reddish brown with a beige head. Burned, chocolatey, malty nose. Medium body with burned and distinctly smoked, dark malt accents with an underlying chocolatey sweetness. Ends malty bitter. A good one. 191207 Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - JAN 1, 2008
0.5 l bottle. Dark reddish brown color with almost no head. Sweetish aroma with chocolate, coffee, raisins, leather and hint of woody smoke. Soft vinous and roasted flavor features chocolate, coffee and raisins. Long slightly roasty and smoky finish. JorisPPattyn (10003) - Ursel, BELGIUM - DEC 31, 2007
Small greige head, fed by well-carbonated black beer with a mauve shine. Very little aroma at first - wet cardboard. Then some roasted/burnt malts appear, as well as dried berries and old coffee powder. Very expressed (-o?) coffee taste, even aftertaste of stale coffee-and-cream. Quite bitter edge, faintly hoppy, and a bit smokey. Liquid brown sugar solution. Medium bodied at best, bit slick. Rather light porter, not very assertive. Bottle from Sainsburys. Dry powdery chocolate and coffee flavours with pleasant earthy hops. Flavours combine well. Tasty
but feels slightly light to be a Winter Warmer. Emil (6065) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 29, 2007

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of berries and alcohol. The flavor is sweet mlaty with notes of over ripe fruit, leading to a dry slightly roasted and slightly smoked finish. DownsouthGav (601) - Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2007
Roasted niose, distinct coffe. Pours a huge foaming head - quite uncontrolled. Bottle conditioned nose and pours a smooth black beer. Distinct hoppy notes and some spices also detected. Taste is predominantly raosted coffee, giving way to malt, some sweetness, spice and hops. Nicely balanced although the medium aftertaste is a touch ordinary. A quite enjoyable porter that leans more to a stout. madsberg (11770) - Søborg, DENMARK - DEC 20, 2007
