Bottle from Sainsburys. Near black with a short-lived tan head. Roasted coffee aroma with a dark fruit flavours and a slightly dry finish. Easy, smooth drinking but a bit lacking in character. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - NOV 18, 2007
Bottled. A black beer with very little head. The aroma is very smoky burnt. Like a winter fireside. The taste is roasty with deep dark fruits. Plenty of burnt malts. Very nice and a suitable beer with the snow falling outside. cgarvieuk (24230) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 18, 2007
UPDATED: NOV 23, 2007 Bottle at home ... Deep brown ... coffee malt nose little smokey ... deep rich fruity malts ... some cherry... little chocolate... decent balance. Im generally not a fan of Meantime but this was a decent beer. TBone (17441) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 17, 2007

Dark ruby color, small beige head. Nose has toffee, caramel, whiskey barrel kind of vanilla. Aroma is similar to Highland Park -whiskey (sniffed side by side with this). Medium-bodied. Sweet chocolate, some smokey notes, overall quite soft. Flavors are not attacking or overwhelming. Nice beer to sip and as it is "only" 5,4 %, not alcoholic (as "winter warmers" often are).
Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Pours a very dark reddish brown with a quick to go head. Strong aroma of dark malts and then coffee and dark chocolate and malts in the mouth. This to me is more of a porter though.

Dark red brown with a white head. Liquorice and coffee aroma. The taste is roasted and ashy with some sourness and a dry finish. Not much of a winter warmer but a fair porter, if not quite up to the standard of their London Porter. FrankJohansen (3622) - Sabro, DENMARK - NOV 12, 2007
Bottle. Dark amber colour with a decent whiet creamy head. Aroma and taste of malts, hops and coffee. Nice semi bitter finish. sm89walt (2064) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - OCT 30, 2007
Having just returned from a moderately cold stroll around campus, I decided it a good time (according to the bottle) to crack this one open. Pours a dark reddy brown colour with a head that quickly dissolves into nothing. Nice amounts of coffee and roasted malt in the aroma with alcohol undertones. Bitter roasted malts and coffee flavours, also partnered with notes of chocolate. Fairly light/thin and lacking in complexity but it does warm my throat and chest. johninmelb (1127) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 27, 2007
Gentle chocolatey nose. Pours dark with a dissapearing head. Flavour is rich and robust but lacking in any of the more traditional winter seasonal qualities (no raisins, spice, figs, etc). Not bad but basically a pretty standard porter. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 26, 2007
UPDATED: NOV 25, 2007 A Mes rate: 50cl bottle from Shamansburys
Opaque very dark red brown with a head that vanishes much to quickly to just a rim of off white foam. Decent coffee malt aroma but a slight soapyness lets it down. Flavour is better with lots of coffee and heavy dark chocolate. Slight lick of hops in the otherwise bitter choc finish. Decent overall but seriously lacking complexity.
