thewolf (12746) - Kolding, DENMARK - DEC 5, 2007
Bottle, bought @ Vinens Verden, Odense. Pours a deep mahogany with a small, rather fizzy off white head. Aroma is rather roasted with a little background of coffee. Lively mouthfeel. Flavour is liqourice, coffee and a chocolate background. There is a smokiness to it as well. Perhaps this is a bit thin on the ground. But as it sits in the glass, it somehow settles a little and turns just 0.2 better.

madsberg (11775) - Søborg, DENMARK - DEC 20, 2007
Bottled. Dark amber coloured. Unclear. Light brown head. Sweetness, light smoke and fruits in the aroma. Some roastyness. Is a bit weak. Flavour of light roast, light herbs and light smoke. Caramel notable. Medium bodied. SWeetish and smoky end.

Fin (10820) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 23, 2007
Bottle from Sainsbury, Heyford Hill, Oxford Poured looking every inch like a glass of coca cola, dark brown, bubbly and with beige head. Aroma a bit coppery like copper coins held in ones hand for a while, also I got a whiff of shandy bass. Tasted a bit smokey and sweetish but the coke similarities I mentioned earlier were in a way back again albeit another soft drink, as I got Dr Pepper, or sasparilla. I’m going against the grain I think with my review as beers go ok, as soft drinks go this is fine and a soft drink is all I thought about when I drank this.

gnoff (10793) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 17, 2008
50 cl bottle from Systembolaget. BB 021010. Slight hazy copper color, nice tan to light brown head. Acidic and smoke scent, perhaps some lemon. Acidic to sour taste, must be infected. Thin mouthfeel, low bitterness. Too bad. Heard this was a problem with part of this batch, since the batch of old smoked bock to Sweden was infected as well, sort of gives me the idea they have huge problems.

jercraigs (10731) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 13, 2011
2011-12-10. Crisp light brown body with a nice beige head. 3+ Lightly spicy, modest malt aroma, hints at caramel? Similar flavour, light spice, nice modest malt character has muted accents of caramel or toffee, perhaps chestnuts if you look for it. Average plus bodied palate. Its a touch light for a winter warmer, my overall impression is that this is better suited for a wintery English pub night on cask, but remains pretty enoyable. Bottle shared by Tuqueboy
