Bottle. Black beer with a reddish tinge. The aroma is lightly roasted and bitter coffee, and the flavour is smoothly bitter, roasted and mildly sweet at the finish. Overall a nice smooth drink. yespr (44706) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JAN 29, 2008
50 cL bottle. Pours deep dark brown almost black with a minor reddish hue and a lacing white head. Roasted aroma that at first doesn’t reveal the smoke notes. Light acidic roasted porterish base with a solid smoke/tar-ish note cutting through. Ends with smoke lingering and nicely bitter finish. Nice. evilsoc (191) - WALES - FEB 12, 2008
An oily black beer with a lasting beige head. There was a distinct sour apple/cider aroma as it poured which soon disappeared to a coffee cake mixed with a woody/whiskey alcohol aroma.
Flavours of more coffee cake, some spicey bitterness and very faint smoke. a nice porter in my opinion. albertane (377) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - FEB 17, 2008
Bottled. Dark amber, almost black, this beer has an intense smoky aroma which is matched by the flavour. There is also a lot of caramel with some coffee and chocolate. It was cold last night and this beer did just the trick. Furseth (2159) - Kungälv, SWEDEN - DEC 5, 2008

500ml bottle. Thick black colour with a tan foam head of big bubbles. Medium bodied with an aroma of chocolate and coffee that invites you in . Bitter and tart in a good way. Burnt chocolate taste, light in the mouth and not as thick tasting as it looks. asheft (3062) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 27, 2009
Quite a bit of vanilla in the nose, with roasty malt and a little bubblegum. Nearly opaque orangish dark brown with no top. Quite roasty--even a bit burnt flavour, with vanilla and a little wood smoke. Moderate sweetness in good balance with bitterness. Medium body, slightly bitter finish, moderate carbonation. gam (3909) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - AUG 23, 2009
