(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Thomas_E. Clear, dark, reddish brown with a beige head. Burned, chocolatey, malty nose. Medium body with burned and distinctly smoked, dark malt accents with an underlying chocolatey sweetness. Ends malty bitter. A good one. 191207 Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAR 1, 2008
Very dark ruby red with a small, creamy head. The aroma has a light sweetness, notes of malt and smoke. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, smoke, fruit, syrup, light citrus and the finish is dry with a light bitterness and a rather pronounced smoky note. This nice brew has a rather full body!

500cl bottle. Bought in a Sainsburys in the West Midlands by my son. Poured a very dark brown with a white creamy head but a bit light for a porter. Taste was quite bitter but balanced by a background sweetness with both coffee and chocolate notes. A very pleasant winter beer. KnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 15, 2009
Bottle from Chelsea Pub, Parma.
Full malty beer, but much more sophisticated than most winter warmers. A stout? Perhaps. Fine hoppiness, a hint of smoke. Very yleasant, but the cork was leaky, so this is not suitable for suitcases!
