TorbenJensen (1590) - Valby, DENMARK - SEP 13, 2015
A slightly frothy ale, which is brewed on the American model. Limited hoppy aroma, but a nice full-bodied ale where especially Amarillo hops typical floral and citrus aroma can be recognized. It is not provoking or remarkable, but simply and good.

330ml bottle, pours clear amber, small white head. Aroma is light medium malty, pine and light citrus. Nice sessionable quaffer with signature west coast style hoppy notes. Decent.

Alengrin (5890) - BELGIUM - AUG 13, 2015
Draught in a pub in London opposite to the Olympia. Thin but stable, off-white head, hazy reddish amber colour. Pleasant aroma of dried berries, toasted bread, hazelnuts, caramel, leather and white pepper. Subdued fruity taste, smooth and lean mouthfeel, soft carbo, malty main character, toasted and nutty, with an aromatic and lightly spicy ’hop bite’ in the end. Quaffable enough.

Bottle from Booths, Keswick. This is a hazy red-brown beer with a thin white head. It has a sweet spicy red fruit and citrus flavour with malty notes and a slightly thin toffee, chocolate, plum and oak finish. Pretty good for a low-ish ABV beer.
