My favorite light beer. THE beer in my home country. That being said, not something I miss.
Straw color, straw aroma and taste with some earth, some detectable fruits. Ratman197 (14852) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - AUG 6, 2012
Bottle poured a clear yellow with a lasting white head. Aromas of light white bread and a hint of yeast. Palae was light bodied and crisp with a watery finish. Flavors of light white bread and a faint hint of citrus with a crisp watery finish. Aurelius (5335) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - AUG 1, 2012
Muted, sweet malt aroma. Pedestrian twist-off bottle. Light, clear, straw colored beer with very little head. Sweetish malt flavor, mild bittering. Medium-light body, effervescent and crisp. Very drinkable - you could go through a bunch of this on a hot day in the Caribbean. ABC Kerry Forest/Bull Run. ronaldtheriot (1936) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - JUL 23, 2012
Medalla Light has a thin, white head and a clear, fairly bubbly, straw appearance. The aroma is of sweet, bready barley malt and a shadow of a hop sting. Taste is of sweet bread, lemon, paper, a touch of syrup, and a kiss of hops. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Medalla Light finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, mostly dry, extremely drinkable, and delicious. What a wonderful surprise! This might be the best mass-produced light beer on the market. I rate this one excellent. RJT kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 19, 2012
10 oz can. Pours a clear straw yellow with a minimal fizzy white head that fell to a wispy partial film. The nose is pretty minimal, some light corn and not a whole lot else. The flavor is typical pale lager, rather watery and laced with a light corn undertone. Short, slightly soggy pale malt finish. Light bodied with a watery texture and fizzy carbonation. Nothing to write he about, but not so bad with the weather here.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Walgreen’s - 12 oz bottle. Pours a very pale golden with nary a trace of head. Slight bubble action to redeem it somewhat. Aroma is that of a stale beer burp and hints of wet metal shavings. Flavor is bland and dull. Some corn notes, a bit of wet cardboard and just a touch of honey sweetness. Slippery thin mouthfeel. Oh well, add a new "country"! Stldsf1 (616) - Florida, USA - JUL 10, 2012
Ok light pale lager. Clear yellow color. Nothing complex or interesting but it's a light lager. What do you want?

Corn, sweet malt, grass, metal. I pick up much more light fruits in the aroma and taste than I normally do for other pale lagers/light beers. To date, my favorite light beer (which is not saying much). jnmuriel (1) - PUERTO RICO - JUL 3, 2012 does not count

Ok... I’ll try to be fair because I am Puertorican and highly supportive of this beer. Also let’s not take into consideration all the awards the beer has gotten. It’s a beer with little appearance and little aroma. But the beer was not created for that. It’s a party beer. Appropriate for long nights of drinking because u won’t get that heaviness feeling u would get with other beers. Perfect for the beach for its refreshing nature. After all it was made and marketed only for PR for years. It just recently started exporting it. Try it to other light beers in the market and ill guarantee you’ll like this one better. Don’t expect much just enjoy it.
