Pours a pale yellow. The flavor is a little on the hot side. There’s a slight tartness in the back and this is a bit more harsh than the rest of the Medovinas that I’ve had. A touch of vanilla from the oak turns up toward the end of the glass.

No head (still). Body is light yellow. Aroma is notes of honey, minerals, lemon/lime, flowers, alcohol (some isopropyl character), hint of wood. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic. Light to medium body, watery texture, flat carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Not a lot of oak character that I could detect, and some higher alcohol is evident as well, but otherwise it’s got the usual bulletproof Medovina characters. As always, I prefer the semi-sweet and dessert meads from Medovina, but this is a class act apart from the alcohol.
