Hmm nothing big to mention here, basically what you would expect out of any lager. Pretty run of the mill stuff. Coming from Hawaii I guess you just naturally want things to be a little bit more exotic, but I guess sometimes a lager is a lager is a lager. Definitely not bad by any means though. Draft at Cronies on the Big Island. Nice Amber color, pretty thin wispy head, no lace. Pretty weak...nasty aftertaste, not as bad as the Volcano Red, but just as bitter. awwshiz (76) - USA - AUG 19, 2007
Found this on tap in Waikiki. Interesting, it was smooth yet highly carbonated. So be prepared to burp a lot. solsticebrew (61) - USA - JUL 18, 2009
12 ounce bottle in Honolulu. First impression is a corn stalk like aroma. Sweet on the front, sweet on the back. I like the color for a lager, a nice honey like amber. I like it for what it is.
