COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle(thanks to the Lake of Constance!): Amber coloured, stable creamy and lacy white head, toasty-fruity nose, some subdued hops detectable; mild bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied as expected; delicate toasty-caramelly finish with a dryish-hoppy aftertaste. Not bad, worth a try…

50 cl bottle @ Timo A, BBE 25.02.2013
Aroma has grainy malt, some vegetables and , hints of caramel and distant cardboard notes. Flavour is light with grainy malt, some resiny hops and hints of berries. Does not feel like amber ale – or ale at all. Could be (a light ) bitter though.

500 ml bottle. Thanks Timo A.
Pours a golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of grainy malts, grass and some cardboard-like notes. Flavour of grainy malts, grassy hops, wheat, yeast, cardboard and some very mellow tartness. LIght bodied, slick mouthfeel and low carbonation. Finishes sharp and light bitter. Amber ale? No way in hell.

Idiosynkrasie (7848) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - NOV 29, 2012
500ml bottle. Very clear reddish dark amber colour with average, firm, frothy, off-white head. Minimally grainy caramel malty aroma, hints of straw. Taste is monotonously minimally dry grainy, minimally sweet caramel malty, slightly watery, abrupt finish.

500 ml bottle. BB 25/02/13. From bierzwerg.de.
Clear deep golden colour with small white head. Sweet caramel, mildly tart fruits and malt in aroma. Flavour is quite easy and bland. Some sweetish malt and mild bitterness. Rather balanced though. Anyway it’s not your average German Pils.

mile (4032) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 23, 2012
Bottle. Golden, small and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty and caramel sweetish aroma, some fruitiness and light hoppyness. Medium body, malty and caramel sweetish flavor, light toffee and some fruitiness. Finish is short to average, malty and sweetish, some caramel and light fruitiness, faint hoppyness. Malty and sweetish amber ale - too sweet/almost totally lacks hoppyness.

MoritzF (10068) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - NOV 20, 2012
(bottle) Clear, amber to copper colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Cara-malty and herbal and slightly metallic hoppy notes with traces of citrus in the background. Bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied with a crisp carbonation. Mildly cara-malty base with traces of black tea, accompanied by herbal hops; slim but not watery herbal hoppy finish with delicately fruity notes in the aftertaste. Likeable, but not outstanding. Reminds of a light Altbier. 16.XI.12
