Aus der Kraft des Ursprungs entstand dieses einzigartige Bier aus hochwertigen Getreide liegt in der bio-dynamischen Meinklang - Landwirtschaft in Pamhagen. Einkorn, Dinkel und Emmer sind die ältesten Getreide der Welt und gelten als Vorläufer heutiger Weizenarten. Einkorn etwa, bestimmt den fein-würzigen, zart nussigen Geschmack. Es weist deutlich höhere Gehalte an Mineralstoffen und Aminosäuren auf und zählt zu den erlesensten Getreiden. Gebraut wird im Brauhaus Gusswerk in Salzburgs alter Glockengießerei - die erste Brauerei, die auschließlich nach bio-dynamischen Richtlinien arbeitet.

tlind2 (1727) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 13, 2011
330 ml bottle. Slightly cloudy golden color, white head. Sweet aroma with a hint of nuttiness. Uneven flavor with wheaty notes, nutty finish. Medium-light body, medium carbonation. I’d rather have a mass-market lager.

355mL 100% biodynamic thanks to beerandblues2. The pour is a clear, lightly hazed deeper yellow with a medium, bright white head. Good retention and small lace. Aroma is lemon, grain, malty husky, candy, cornbread, earth. Taste is bitter, corn, grainy, mild licorice or some oddity (urkorns?). Palate is watery, bland, sweet. It’s interesting, but really not too different from just your normal American macro pale lager stuff.

Strange grain nose, with light fruit. Taste is lightly sweet, with no bitterness, very grainy, some lemon and hay.

Bottle. Pours clear pale yellow with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with no lacing. Aroma is heavy corn, dirty hay and straw, farm animals. Flavor is dirty farm animals and corn. Light body, warmth, and carbonation with a dry finish.

330 ml bottle. Cloudy orange-yellow colour, thin off-white head. Grainy, malty aroma, a whiff of sweet honey and grassy hops. The flavour is malty, slightly metallic, with a mildly bitter, grassy-hoppy finish. Dull, a bit rough, won’t buy again.

Bottle. Hazy golden body with a medium fizzy white head. Grains, malt, light honey, earthy notes and grass in the nose. Taste is grassy and earthy with sweet malt, Euro hops, light honey, and biscuit malts. Body is light-medium with a strong strong feel. Ends with more grass, toasted malt, light bread dough, Euro hops and honey.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, from K Supermarket Kamppi) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was very small and white. Aroma was grassy and a little bit papery. Palate was quite light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grain, oatmeal porridge, wheat bread, grass, mildly sweetnes, a hint of carboard and low bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. Not a really good beer. It had positively interesting flavour profile but the paper and/or carboard both in the arom and in the taste was off-putting.

Manure aroma. Now that’s truly organic! Cloudy yellow, thin head, full of floaties.Beans and manure flavor. Rice finish. What is this? More flavorful than a macro, but this is not a good way. I was looking forward to this beer. On paper, this looked like it might be pretty neat. In the end, it is just a bad tasting beer.

Happy to try this - love some of the Meinklang wines, especially the Pinot Noir a few years back, interested to see what they do with beer. Pales a slightly hazy gold. Aroma is grainy, a touch bready. Flavor is interesting, very focused on malts. Surprisingly full bodied, with an almost berry note to the otherwise crackery grains. Hops only there to provide balancing bitterness. Intersting what the traditional grains did for this brew.

"Brewed with ancient grains"... toivottavasti eivät ole pilaantunutta viljaa käyttäneet. Väriltään tämä olut on ns. amber ja muodostaa keskisuuren määrän valkoista vaahtoa. Sen tuoksu on hyvin viljainen ja mallasta sekä hedelmäisyyttäkin siinä on. Jonkinlainen sekaleipä tämä kai on. Maussa mukaan tulee hieman humalointia ja pieni metallnen sivumaku. Koostumukseltaansakaan tämä ei ole kummoinen. Maksoin tästä ihan liikaa, enkä tule sitä enää tekemään.
