Bottle @ CorvinFeszt 2016. Urtyp, jellegű. Falusi, Ősi. finom, Vidéki. Paraszt. Pajta széna és Szalma. Olyan mint amikor valakit a pajtába hívnak első randira. Először ízlelgetni kell még, hogy megeméssze az ember. rwgould (331) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 19, 2008
0.33l bottle. Was given the bottle by someone from Austria. Pours a creamy and cloudy yellow/orange colour, with a foamy head. Aroma is sweet and smells of slightly sour apples, with hints of nuts. The palate is smooth and somewhat thick. Flavour is raw, with notes of malty sweetness and nuts. wchesser (2159) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 2, 2012
UPDATED: JAN 20, 2013 Don’t know about all the biodynamic-ness of the beer as far as what that adds, but this is tasty. Very remininscent of a berlinerweisse with slightly cloudy straw coloring and persistent head. Very lemony citrus and highly refreshing...however, clocks in at $19/6er!
>>>Rerate...bumping this up. Bottle from same batch....bottle says best before 6/2012, but I think this has improved. Becoming a nice sour...funky lemon citrus nose that gets more horsey as it warms. Tart lemon flavors on wheaty base. Just amplified version of the one tried previously. jgb9348 (6579) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - SEP 23, 2011
Hazy golden body with a rich tan head. Aroma of honey, apricots, apples and caramel. Medium-bodied; Nice rich malt flavour with a good sweet kick, some mild hops and a herbal and floral note. Mild complex aftertaste with a bunch of sweetness. Nice and great to sample as I’ve never seen it before - even though it wasn’t a stellar beer. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from German Gourmet in Falls Church, Virginia for US$3.50 by my Dad, sampled camping in Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. 3fourths (9367) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 14, 2011
bottle. hazed golden wheat body, white head. fairly quiet nose of lemon / wheat / perfume esters, all much more pronounced as flavors. vibrant acidity. medium sweetness drying and bitterring later. mild citrus rind bitterness and lingering yeast and wheat pastiness in the finish. balanced and genuine.

Slightly murky copper colour. Thin but dense head. Aroma of wet grass and grain. Taste is herbal, vegetal, and grainy. Easy drinking. liinis (1791) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 6, 2010
Great exception! Hops easily noted and the malts too have their own character. So not too balanced. Interesting and enjoyable. nilsas (4719) - Bryne, NORWAY - APR 10, 2014
Duft av frukter og høy. Dunkel gulbrun farge. Tunt skum, noe heng langs kant. Frisk med en liten søtlig smak av karamell. Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - FEB 12, 2011
Happy to try this - love some of the Meinklang wines, especially the Pinot Noir a few years back, interested to see what they do with beer. Pales a slightly hazy gold. Aroma is grainy, a touch bready. Flavor is interesting, very focused on malts. Surprisingly full bodied, with an almost berry note to the otherwise crackery grains. Hops only there to provide balancing bitterness. Intersting what the traditional grains did for this brew.
