COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hubert? I’ve heard of him. A friend of a friend knows him. Apparently he’s awesome, but we’ve never met. Well. It’s about time you did. Most you connoisseurs would just call him an IPA, but we call him an MPA. The Melvin Pale Ale. A welcomed hand shake to your taste buds. Light, crisp, fresh and a little bitty bitter. Lets just say he won’t be that jerk that leaves you at the bar at 2am. He’s low in alcohol. What a nice guy... that Hubert.

Pours slightly hazed gold into a shaker. Bright white soapy head with medium retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Resin and pine aromas. Sourdough, resin and hot dark caramel upfront turning to dirty pith in the lasting finish.

Light hay and caramel malt supports a resin/spruce hop profile. Easy pleasant drinking. Slightly sweet and sticky. Remeniscant of Bells Two Hearted. Appearance is a robot smoking a pipe wearing shades, or translucent amber with a frothy head. A little bitter a bit sweet. Soft and light palate. A bit of a cracker ligers. A note to myself that I enjoyed this one much more than 2x4.

On tap at Cooper's Craft and Kitchen. A tasty well balanced fruity APA. Bitter but not over the top.

Melvin is on the hoppier side for a Pale Ale, but it's one of the most approachable Melvin beers I've had and - I'd argue - one of their tastiest. Huberts pours gold and somewhat hazy with good lacing. Dank tropical hop aromatics redolent of fresh stone fruit and white wine. Fruity flavors of orange, pineapple, mango, tangerine, peach, lemon, passion fruit, and honeydew. Malt character is crisp and slight, but you can pick up on some cracker and honey character underneath all of the oily hops. It's drinkable beyond reason.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2017 Can pour. Pours a golden amber. Clear. Lightly hoppy on the nose. Medium bodied with strong bitterness. Smooth finish. Light but with strong flavor. Good.

Can at Buttonwood right after getting a bridie on the 13th hole. My game went downhill after that. Aroma is very citrusy, lemon, fruity, some grains, grapefruit. The taste is lemon, grapefruit, sweet with a dry finish, very easy drinking, medium light body, enjoyed it.

Can share from Brian. Light orange colour. Not much in taste department, outside of flat hops. Passable, touch of orange.
