Can at LKS. It pours clear orange - amber with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, tangerine, orange marmalade, toffee, pine needles, toffee and grass. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, oily orange, tangerine, resin, pine, grass, bit green, kick of alcohol, lemonade and pepper with a drying finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Decent. jonno (2980) - JAPAN - NOV 21, 2017
Very smooth and soft, with no imperfections. Have you tried this chocolate mousse? It has an incredible flavor and is smooth as a baby's bottom. I love how your face feels after you shave—it's as smooth as a baby's bottom! Alengrin (5779) - BELGIUM - NOV 21, 2017
West Coast style IPA by Melvin in Wyoming, can at Ganzerik in Ghent, of about five months old. Creamy, egg-white, lightly lacing, more or less stable head, hazy peach - orangey blonde robe. Aroma of fresh orange juice, ripe mango, sweet paprika, sundried tomatoes, damp marihuana, soggy biscuit, tamarillo, papaja, pink peppercorns. Fruity, expressive onset, lots of mango, lychee and pineapple notes drenched in orange freshness, soft lime-like sourishness at the edges, softish carbo, nice smooth, soft, slick mouthfeel. Biscuity malt body with a sweeter caramelly accent, long aromatically hoppy finish, lots of tangerine and orange juice brightness, tropical mango, old stale lime juice and peppercorns, long but mellow bitterness in the mouth, ending very juicy. The times when West Coast and other American style IPAs were striving to be as hop bitter as possible, have clearly passed: in a sense, modern IPA has grown up, having developed a more balanced, aroma-forward profile, and this one is an excellent example of just that. Highly recommended. ads135 (5052) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - NOV 19, 2017
Pretty solid IPA, picked up at Beertopia in Omaha in 2017. Pours dark golden and dank resinous aroma. Sharp bitterness, mostly orange peel. Quite nice. thornecb (6087) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 16, 2017
Pours a slightly hazed deep gold into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Resin and pine aromas. Medium bodied with sweet caramel and resin upfront turning to dry, warming pine and pith in the lasting finish.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours translucent orangey gold with a creamy/bubbly white head. Aroma has a bunch of hop, it's mixed, but citrus is discernible. Med ++ body. It's somewhat juicy with lots of mixed non-citrus fruits, including tropicals, but the citrus is still discernible. It's fairly dry, nicely bitter, very hoppy, and starting to seem dank. Not strongly so, but ... Very good IPA. dambor (839) - Berlin, GERMANY - NOV 3, 2017
UPDATED: NOV 3, 2017 Pours dark yellow. Aroma: fantastic aroma of pines and citrus. Medium body, nice citrussy. alexsdad06 (10938) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - NOV 2, 2017
12 oz can from Peter. Pours a clear dark golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale toasted malts, caramel, citrus and resiny hops up front, some earthy notes, moderate bitterness, great balance, flavors pop, grapefruit, and hints of black pepper, very solid IPA. Melvin IPA has become a coveted hoppy ale in the Western US and it's for good reason. Melvin boasts a West Coast-style balance consisting of a thin malt layer and huge hop profile. Hazy orange coloring. This is certainly an outdoorsy hop bouquet. Dank, floral, pithy, leafy, piney, and grassy nose. Hop-forward and herbaceous earthy flavors. Resin, cannabis, pine needles, spruce, orange peel, grapefruit rind, and passion fruit. The bright, crisp bitterness should excite hopheads and will ward off most everyone else.
