66cl [email protected] in Menabrea [email protected] 9 degrees C. Pours copper brown with large off white head with medium retention. Aroma dominated by malt and with a little sweetness. Taste is also toasted malty sweet, but not without a pleasant bitterness, which also manifests itself in the aftertaste. Body light, carbonation quite high. Lacks the spices of other Christmas beers, which makes it more mainstream, but also more drinkable, though without being extraordinary in any way. The English Pale Ale description is not far off.

Lidt kedelig og ordinr julel. Savner noget bitterhed. Flot farve og skum. Smuk etiket.

Pours copper, with abundant whitish head. Aroma is malty. Body is light, with some carbonations tickling the tongue. Taste is balanced between sweet and bitter, with more final bitterness. Decent beer. No relationships with typical Christmas beers.

Caramel, red fruits, amber with beige head, light body, medium carbonation, taste is similar to the aroma...a strange industrial way to celebrate your christmas.

En let humlet l. Den har en fin smag af ndder. En let l, mske ikke lige til den danske julemiddag, men til en let frokost er den nok god.

Having this in mid-winter New Zealand. Nice nuttiness and raisiny notes. I see menabrea as the Monteiths of Italy; dependable good drinking, if a little bit similar and predictable across the range.

Bottle from CIBI E Vini, Copenhagen - amber pour with white head. Sweet toasty malty aroma and taste, some caramel, some faint spices, watery consistency, not bad but pretty bland.

5.2% a big 600 ml bottle for a few euros at Eataly. It pours a clear mahogany with a thick foamy beige head. The nose is biscuity malts, the taste is boring but good: nutty caramel biscotti grainy but overall pretty good it just doesn't really say Christmas more hello I am a nice macro brown ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Mother, Copenhagen. Poured a clear Medium amber with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is malty, light red berry fruit. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a light yeast light sweet malt fruit mineral palate. Moderate to light bodied with soft carbonation. A little light and lacks defining flavours.
