On tap at Ölrepubliken, Göteborg. Hazy red brown with off white head. Red wine, oak barrel, funky barn, stables, and sour fruit. Dry medium sour with low to medium carbonation. Really nice and dirty sour beer. Werckmeister (3180) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - MAR 28, 2016
0,33l from bottle, shared by the gf, bought at Astral Beers, Bologna. Vintage 2013. dark brown / reddish color, small tan head. smells of spices, peppery, some grapes, nutty, marzipan, some malty sweetness, light wood. good smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of alcohol, nutty, marzipan, light dried fruits, grapes, some wood, almost no sourness, in fact I would call it acidic instead of sour. finishes lightly dry and acidic with noticeable alcohol, some dried fruits and some nuts. overall good one, a bit too booze, not a sour beer in any way. Not so sour as I expected, more notes of dry fruits, positive oxidation (Marsala notes). High in alcohol but balanced by the structured body. I would appreciate more sour note. Very closed to barley wine. No foam, very low carbonation.

Grande birra. Ferma, color vino, al naso porta sapore di vinacce, lampioni, fragole. In bocca il sapore rispetta le premesse fatte al naso, con un bel tocco acido, sentori di vino e di legno. Buonissima birra. brianza_ale (213) - ITALY - OCT 10, 2014
33cl 2013 bottle in teku. Pours a small frothy and bubbly off white head, which later forms a white ring all around the glass; light cloudied leathery brown/dark amber colour. Smell it’s just WoW: deep malty, bubblegum!, fruity, grape, brown sugar, vinous, barrel, raisin aroma; port wine notes. Evem if it feels slightly different, I would use the same adjectives used for the aroma: malty, woody-barrel, vinous, grapefruit, very much less sweet than what expected from the smell. Initial medium sweetness, which then turns to a bit tannic and vinous low bitter and low to medium sour finish; red wine barrel notes. Low carbonation, medium bodied, nice slick texture. It’s incredible how well it resembles a red wine especially in the end, when a very low acidic and predominantly vinous note comes in. What it’s more incredible too, it’s how easily you can drink this. Really nice, in my opinion it almost creates a genre of its own it... incredibly good and smooth. What a product !!! ;) anders37 (26605) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JUL 22, 2013
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity sour woody wine aroma. Fruity malty sour woody wine flavor. Has a fruity malty woody sour finish. Theydon_Bois (19490) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUL 12, 2013
Bottle at Ma Che, Roma on my stag - 22/06/13. Half of this went on the floor unfortunately when the Aussie kicker missed that easy conversion in the dying seconds of the firs Lions test - shame but ultimately worth it!
Dark amber/brown with a thin white head that escapes to the edge.
Nose is funky, woody, soured fruits, grape skins, must, grandads shed.
Taste comprises soured berries, oaky tinge, tarte fruit, must, damp wood, red wine notes evident, grapes, light booze.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation.
Great sour - from the top draw! daniele (9063) - ITALY - JUN 21, 2013
