Rated on 9-05-2009 at Crown Liquors Event (Bottle) This beer pours a small ivory fizzy head with a short retention, transparent orange body, very little carbonation, and no lacing. The Aroma is malty, earthy hops and spicy. Ditto for the Taste. The Palate is tingly and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer lacks character and has no WOW factor and thus a beer that is not on my list of beers to want again. bpreo (2881) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - SEP 30, 2010
good smell, good taste, good flavor, good beer. a seasonal beer from california, if you can believe it. paultheguru (644) - Parker, Colorado, USA - AUG 29, 2010
A: snifter. nice tawny color, mostly orange copper. off white head. low retention rate and light lacing.
S: some fall fruits in the nose...apples, pears, cinnamon, clove, and a nice caramel malt aroma.
T: good mild oktoberfest brew. some apples, pears, and spices.
M: low to medium mouthfeel. good carbonation level. smooth and mellow.
D: very nice light oktoberfest. good potential and needs a little more malt to me. the hops were coming through too much for the style. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JUL 21, 2010
Nose is mostly toasty with a touch of earthy hops and light metallic notes. Pours amber, decently lasting head, a touch of lace here and there. Nice bright color. Flavor is toasty with light caramel, a touch of bread, and soft earthy hop flavors. A metallic note is noticeable also. Not bad, not that good either. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - JUN 17, 2010
Bottle; poured an orange/amber color w/ alot of carbonation streams. Average frothy white head. Aroma of caramel, bread, yeast and Germany!. Flavor was as expected, but alot more minerally than I thought it would be. Overall it was a solid beer, that is drinkable.

5/10/10. 12oz bottle into a pint glass. The pour is cloudy red with a small white head. The aroma is huge caramel and grain with distinct oxidized homebrew. The flavor is red roasted malts, caramel, dark fruits, etc... really too much for an Oktoberfest. Guerde (1297) - Leuven, BELGIUM - FEB 22, 2010
(bottle from bhensonb, thanks!) Pours a hazy copper color with a tall white head that quickly dissipates to nothing. Aroma is toasted barley, cracked walnuts, caramel, and red delicious apple. Taste is caramel, toasted barley, something a bit sour (apple skin), and finishing out with a toasty and tart finish. Mouthfeel is medium and carbonation is medium as well. I think this one may be a little infected. hellbilly (3248) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - FEB 21, 2010
picked a sixer up for a steal... ended up drinking all but one on 11/29/2009.
it pours an amber-copperish-honey brown color with a small tan tinted off white head.
aromas of toffee, spice, earthy yeast, chocolate, toasted nuts, copper, cooked orange peels and dry woody hops.
the medium body is very malty and smooth.... rich for the style with a nice dry spicy kick. it is refreshing with a mildly bitter finish and flavors of caramel, sweet grain, chocolate and toasted cashews.
nice surprise... i thought this was going to be terrible but it turns out to be well done. 7/3/7/4/16/3.7 Hades665 (18) - Springfield, Missouri, USA - FEB 8, 2010
Dee[ amber color with an off white head. Minimal lace. Aroma is of sweet malts. The flavor leans towards malt as it should in this style. Slightly more hoppy than I would expect from an Octoberfest but overall a pleasent beer. Stellaaaa (270) - Tennessee, USA - FEB 6, 2010
Pours a clear amber with a thick white head. This beer has a faint aroma of grapefruitty hops and malt. The taste, likewise, is of fairly bland malt with a hint of grapefruit and plain old hops bitterness. It’s pretty balanced and overall a good beer, but there’s nothing particularly exceptional about this beer.
