Bottle from Tylers. This is a pretty shitty marzen. Not a huge fan of the style and this one is just not very good. Will not drink again. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 1, 2009
Clear orange-red, off white head. Aroma is grainy, caramel, malt husks. Taste is spicy, grainy notes, caramel, crips but tannic finish. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUL 4, 2009
From a Bottle at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 11/10/2007
Hoppy pale aroma. Golden coloured smooth on the palate and hoppy with a crisp and slightly dry malt finish. RSRIZZO (1986) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAY 14, 2009
(Bottle courtesy of Headbanger) - Color is a golden amber with light carbonation and a thin head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Taste is sweet and smooth. Starting with a medium body it goes down with an almost creamy feel. Finish is sweet with a mild caramel flavor and just a touch of bitterness. After taste is a lingering of the sweet with a little hop spice. This is a nice light Märzen. Beerona97 (2399) - Washington, USA - MAY 10, 2009
Rich amber foamy tan head that fades. Malty yeasty apple aroma. Taste is sweet apple, some roast but not bitter, needs some more hop character. Not balanced, overly sweet, either needs roast bitter or hop bitter.

12oz bottle 5/3/09 (Binnys Naperville)-Pours a ruby amber with a small tan covering for a head. Aroma of caramel and malt. Taste of the same with a bit of toffee thrown in. This medium bodied brew is another good seasonal beer from Mendocino which I think is better than their regular line. ben4321 (6514) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAR 17, 2009

I enjoyed this one, had a great nose, some malty caramel flavors, and a solid taste that makes you feel like autumn.
Bottle. Poured an orange brown with a off-white head that settles to a ring. Malty aroma with a mix of spice. Caramel flavor with light spices and hints of apple. Medium body and sweet throughout. nqualls (1452) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 20, 2009
12 oz bottle purchased at Frugal MacDoogal’s in Nashville. Poured a clear golden red color with a one finger off white head that quickly dissipated leaving little/no lacing. The aroma was caramel and sweet malt. The flavor is cereal and caramel with toffee and an earthy finish. The palate was average. The carbonation was a little too soft. The body was medium. The mouthfeel was silky and clean. fidelis83 (2441) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - JAN 16, 2009
Pours a dark reddish amber with a 2 finger pinkish light tan head that fades kinda quickly to a thick skim. Aroma is Caramel, sweet grain, and toast, a little rich fruity banana. Flavor is grainy, toast, a little caramel and some mellow metallic notes. Body is medium thin and kind of dry (extremely dry for the style) was looking for velvety smooth, almost has and acidic quality. Not quite as rich and toasty as I would like in an Oktoberfest. May be too old but my beer store has had these in the fridge since they got them in early December so I kinda doubt it. I will probably rate again next year though.
