Pour is a brown with almost no head at all. Aroma is deffinatly malts with some fruitness and a nice hop quality. Flavor is bready malts with some more of the earthy hop quality. Probably the most hoppy marzen i have had in awhile. Not bad for this brewer. radagast83 (8019) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - SEP 22, 2007
Sampled from bottle. Flavor was that of citrus and tart fruit. Flavor was decent enough, and a surprise result from most of the Oktoberfest beers I’ve been having lately. jpm30 (1587) - East Central, Georgia, USA - SEP 25, 2007
On-tap, served in a stein mug.
Poured a clear reddish copper with a rocky slightly off-white head, slowly settled into a thin sudsy lacing. Plentiful supply of flowing micro bubbles.
Aromas of toasted grain bread, hints of caramel, light apple fruitiness and subtle herbal hops.
Crisp medium body, a tad too much carbonation for my liking, but overall, a smooth drinker. Grain bready in the beginning, ending with a nice toasted sweet caramel. The mild fruitiness has the taste of white raisins sprinkled over a wedge of green apple. Softly earthy hops add a spiciness to the dry nutty caramel finish.
Not a bad seasonal offering from Mendocino, better than I was expecting, surprised to see it on-tap.

(12oz bottle) Medium beige head that diminishes rapidly atop crystal clear amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel/bread, light spice. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel/bread, spicy. Light-medium body, light acidity. JK (6095) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - SEP 30, 2007
Mid range quality on this beer. Orange color. Malt in the flavor and aroma. Some caramel, and just a little sweet with some dryness in the finish.

Draft @ Keegan Ales brewery/restaurant. Aroma is faintly aged biscuit malts, burnt and toasty. Some cheap corn in there as well, light woody. Taste is so damn plain and uninteresting basic O’fest with some light candy sugar sweetness. Finishes with low bitterness, average carbonation, and a light medium body. Thanks to JK for sharing. Standard gold color for an oktoberfest. Light roasted malt aroma, but stronger than most. Hoppy finish. tsarman (794) - Northern, New Jersey, USA - OCT 7, 2007
A decent oktoberfest. Nothing too remarkable. Definitely a good beer, but nothing that really stands out. MrBunn (2812) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 13, 2007
Bottle. Dark amber or golden brown color with a one finger head and a nice malt rich aroma. Caramel malts, bread dough, floral hops, and fruit are all in the aromas, which are fairly interesting for a Oktoberfest. Mouthfeel is viscous and sticky, and flavor is just right at that border of being obnoxiously sweet. Sweetness comes through almost as a white grape juice presence... definitely fruity. Interesting and different. mjg74 (3093) - La Mesa, California, USA - OCT 31, 2007
Bottle from BevMo. Medium/dark amber color. Sweet grainy aromas. Some candy-like quality. Malty flavors dominate. Some roasted malty flavors. Sweetness in there as well as spices. Pretty full bodied. Good flavorful Okto.
