12 fl oz bottle. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and chocolate. Thick chocolate, roasted malty and mild roasted acidic. Bitter, dark roasted and chocolate finish. chinchill (5319) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 27, 2013
12 oz bottle served in a snifter. Poured brown-tinged black; opaque with a thin tan head that has weak retention and leaves little lacing.
The aroma is a nice, boozy mix of dark roasted malts and chocolate with hints of coffee, dates and figs. Strongly flavored with dark roasted malts, with some burnt grain and a touch of smokiness; Hints of dark fruits (although less obvious than in the nose), dark chocolate and coffee. A trace of dryness and hops in the finish. High ABV is well hidden. Full bodied; with suitable carbonation.
O - This rich stout makes an excellent sipper. Well-hidden alcohol.

Flaske: Kulsort olieret øl med et flot mokkafarvet skumhoved. Duft af lakrids og let ristet malt. Smagen er sød med masser og lakrids. Lidt for engelsk i sit udtryk.

Bottle, bought @ YNWA Beershop, Kolding. Pours completely black with a medium, creamy, beige head. Good duration. Aroma has chocolate, liquorice, light tar, sweet malts. Low carbonation, fine creamy and light dry mouthfeel. Flavour has chocolate, light roasted, fairly nutty, a bit astringent. Good lingering malty bitter finish with a mild warming feeling. cubs (10714) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 18, 2013
Bottle in Minneapolis picked up in KC. Pours a deep brown/black appearance with a thin brown head. Big roasty chocolate malty, anise, a touch smoky aroma. Somewhat bitter. Earthy, light coffee, very roasty, dark chocolate flavor. Not bad. KajII (801) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - JUN 4, 2013
12oz bottle. The pour was a muddy ebony black with a slight ruby hue and a medium cocoa brown head that bordered between average and large, which did recede down to a nice thick film creating some fair runny lacing.
The aroma was of roasted dark bread malts, light floral hops and a meaty leathery yeast with notes of toffee, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit (raisons and prunes) and just a hint of licorice.
The taste was a roasty bitter sweet with hints of chocolate and toffee early on, progressing with a mild hoppy bitterness, a touch of fruit, a bold coffee presence, a bit of licorice and a noticeable alcohol tinge right at the end. The flavor lasted a very long time following the swallow with a bitter roasty alcohol taste left lingering for quite a while longer.
Mouthfeel was full in body and dry in texture with a good strong carbonation, which is kind of unusual in a stout.
Overall this was a unique Imperial Stout with a bitter sweet fruitiness and a bold roastiness, which worked very well together along with the smooth alcohol flavor making this an enjoyable brew to sip on.... www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews keanex (1799) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - JUN 1, 2013

Appearance: Pitch black body with a thin brown head, the head has average retention and settles into a frothy ring with a thin covering.
Aroma: Sweet cocoa is the first thing that comes to mind, milk chocolate actually. Roasted coffee and raisins are mild, but add nicely to this.
Taste: Bittersweet chocolate with raisins with a backing of roasted malts is the best way to describe this. The roasted malts linger as if I sipped black coffee, along with dark fruits.
Palate: Medium to thick bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This is a surprisingly well done imperial stout. This is available at a great price and is on par with many other good imperial stouts I’ve had. Certainly give this one a try.
Yup, another good one to hit when you’re in the sticks, fancy that! Really though, it’ll warm ya up on a cold night!
