12oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden yellow, stiffish white head. Aroma is mostly malt sweet, taste is sweet, overall not that good a pilsenere, a bit more like a macro crap imo. VinegarStroke (448) - Napa, California, USA - JAN 8, 2014
Bottle: Clear, golden, light to medium head. Malt driven nose. Nutty, pale malt. Slightly funky rodent aromatics. Lightly hopped. Dry, slightly sour and medium to medium high bitterness. Medium weight and long. Malt driven flavor. Honey. High carbonation may be driving sour or acid edge. Also playing with the perceived bitterness. Moderately fruity palate. ads135 (5053) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - DEC 15, 2013
I like that the Czech style lager seems to be gaining popularity in the States. Dry, malty, with a great earthy, grassy aroma. dviscusi (1) - Ballston Spa, New York, USA - NOV 22, 2013 does not count
This beer was surprisingly good. I was very happy with the purchase and trying this local beer. It was smooth and easy to drink. I will definitely purchase this beer again. edgallow (4566) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 20, 2013

12oz bottle - pours clear gold with effervescence, white head and decent lacing. Nose is floral and a little grainy. Flavor adds malty backbone. Refreshing. Moderately bitter. Finally a pilsner I like. ChainGangGuy (4932) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - JUN 5, 2013

Appearance: Pours a clear, darkish gold body with a tall, airy, white head. Fairly good head retention.
Smell: Scantly grainy accent to the pilsner malt with a sweetish cereal hint to it. Lightly spicy, lightly herbaceous hop character.
Taste: Pils malt with touches of cereal sweetness and (light) graininess. Very soft citrus, bits of hopsice and dried herb from the noble hops. Medium-light bitterness. Gradually, gently drying on the back half and into the crisp finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus, active carbonation.
Overall: Over the years, I’ve never really found a Mendocino that hit the spot, but this pilsner is quite good. A nice surprise.
This beer is more like a pale ale than a traditional pilsner but its damn good. Compared to a Pilsner Urquell, it’s heavy and hoppier and stronger. This is my go to beer right now. Sledutah (7927) - Utah, USA - APR 3, 2013
12oz bottle picked up at The Grapevine bhensonb (15852) - Woodland, California, USA - NOV 8, 2012
Appearance: Pours clear straw golden with a medium sized white head and some lacing
Aroma: Pilsner malts, crackers, bready and floral
Taste: Malts, bisquity, spicy, grassy, finishes with a mild bitterness and dry
A nice Pilsner, full flavored but light and refreshing
Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento. Pours hazy gold with a 3.5 finger foamy white head. Aroma is mildly bready and mixed spicy/herby/grassy. Med body. The flavor is bready, but in a full bodied way that is not heavy. Whatever that means. The hop is nice - not so bitter as I’d like, but it’s hoppy. It is clean/crisp/dry. And there’s a bit of floral. Almost overcoming the other hops, if I think too much about it. It’s a really good beer.
