Another beer that doesn't taste right out of the bottle. Try it on tap and its a great beer - I wouldn't call it "strong" though. Tastes a little stale from the bottle. Score is for bottled version. jayme9874 (756) - Hamburg, New York, USA - OCT 22, 2002
Slight hazy, light amber/golden. Thin head and lace. Decent nose of caramel and some floral aspects. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation cuts into some evident softness. Palate of caramel, fruity yeastiness, some slight grapefruitiness, somewhat dry, slightly bitter out of balance finish. Hops seemed a bit stale? Not a bad brew by any means but not memorable either. wierd nose, peppery with mellow hops and another fragrance i haven't pinned yet. this wierdness carries through. hard to drink. New rule, if you find it at a Utah state store it must be bad, they don't stock anything good. bruno1378 (126) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 12, 2002
Nice amber color, but not a see through beer. Nice aroma, goes down smooth. Not something I'd go out of my way for, but a nice beer to drink when it's around.

I have to put a qualifier on this. This is one beer that I often see for a decent price at various locations around town, and this is one beer where you definitely receive a good bit of quality for the price, so I never hesitate to pick this up. It's not the best beer around, but for a price-quality ratio, it is worthy. Sitting down to finally do a review, this has a very small aroma profile, with hints of orange sweet malt and pouring with a light solid amber. The head is kind of weak, yet does a good job of sticking. The beginning rings in with an orange marmalade type taste and finishes with a light hop finish. A good session beer that packs quite a punch. Discofish (152) - USA - OCT 5, 2002

Medium gold color, small head. Nice sweet malt flavor, mildly hopped. Slight spiciness. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, malt sweetness very evident vwsteggie (684) - Paxton, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 26, 2002
It has a nice amber color and smells pretty standard for an ale. It has an easy drinking malt flavor and overall not too bad.
