Caramel malt on the nose, with hints of roasty aromas, with some hop spice in there. Pours amber with a thin white head, that doesn’t last long. Malty, bread and cereal flavors, sweet, with a barely detectable hop presence. Would be a good session lager. kwoeltje (2233) - Manchester, Missouri, USA - AUG 10, 2007
(bottle) light-medium amber with a white head. Bready malt aroma. Flavor is very slightly sweet malt, fairly crisp, maybe a hint of hops in the finish. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - AUG 7, 2007
Gold apple juicey color with no head. Bready malt aroma. Flavor is mostly crisp. Some lemon flavored hops with a little bit of sweet bready malts in the finish. Pretty standard. Not complex. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 31, 2007
Cloudy orange-amber with light head / Sweet, bread, toffee nose / Light body with weak finish / Skunky, sour, sweet flavors / Sample from the rep, but maybe bad bottle? TheBeerOrg (2145) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUL 2, 2007
Pours dark orange with a mostly receding off-white head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, toffee, honey. Taste is sweet and malty, with notes of caramel, bread dough and papery oxidation. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation. Interesting, a bit sweet but an enjoyable drink nonetheless.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2007 not too bad.. nicely balenced light hop flavor. Dosent taste like a normal lager. nice white head. Soonah (1120) - Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA - MAY 27, 2007
UPDATED: MAR 25, 2008 On tap. This was at a little restaurant in Tahoe City, CA called Rosie’s. The pour was a crystal clear pale copper color with a foamy white, one-finger head. Spotty lacing followed all the way down the glass. The aroma was subdued citrus and a bit of floral hoppiness. This beer was VERY fresh. The flavor was a surprisingly nice blend of citrus and floral hops with some thin malt present. A bit of a lingering sweet finish. This is a perfect example of how important FRESH beer really is. I’m sure if I had a year old bottle of this stuff from my local liquor store I would have given this a much lower score, but since it was from a fresh keg I’ll tell you it was a very solid session beer. thegreenrooster (4396) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 26, 2007
Pour is a very dark yellow with a small white head. Aroma is very grainy and has a nice hint of hops in there. Flavor is about the same with some grainy malt with a touch of hops. A decent lager. NYHarvey (2153) - New York, New York, USA - MAY 23, 2007
Grainy/grassy aroma with a hint of sweeter breads and steeped cereal grains. The body is a dull copper/amber color and holds a thumb thick white head that is fairly lasting but leaves very little lace. Fore is sweet cereal grains with very faint fruity/sugary notes....almost like having your Booberry with water and then drinking the left over water. I actually reaqlly like the flavor though. It hints at toasty grains, but is mostly sweet and lightly fruity. The finish is clean if not dry, but leaves a lingering blueberry, apple, grain flavor. I’d drink this again for sure. sheatripper (863) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - MAY 20, 2007
Bottle. Poured a clear amber with a minimal head. Aroma of light cereal and grassy hops. Light cereal malt flavor with some crisp hops in the back. Nice bit of fruitiness here as well--like an apple peel note. Though I bought this only for the discounted price, it turns out better than I was anticipating. All in all, a decent drinking lager.
