Hazy light amber color. Common Lager, poor, with a vegetable touch; light aroma of sugar. Bad.

bhensonb (16254) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 17, 2006
Decent malt aroma. Darkly pale golden color. A frothy white head that sticks a while and even laces a bit. Swishes to a decent mouth feel. It finishes with enough hop to balance malt. The carbonation is not overwhelming. I just can’t figure out how to describe the start - everything seemed to arrive at once. Good for a lager.

Ratman197 (15874) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAR 26, 2007
Bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, bread and hints of butterscotch and citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread, light carmel and a hint of earthiness with a crispo mildly bitter finish.

Tmoney99 (15315) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 11, 2006

BeerandBlues2 (14517) - Escondido, California, USA - MAR 29, 2007
Bottle. Pours sparkling orange with spare rocky white head, mostly lasting, spare head. Aroma is heavy malt (caramel, nutty), light hops (grass), average yeast (dough) with notes of apple, dates and honey. Light bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation and a chalky finish. Moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.

argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 24, 2005
(12oz bottle) Clear apple juice body topped by a small and quickly dissipating off-white head. Aroma is mild, medium sweet, cereal, orange, faint grassy. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, orange, bread, some cereal, some floral, lager yeast. Minimal bitterness. Watery light body with minimal crispness. They should ditch this one and spend up to another 21 years to find a lager genuinely worthy of the Red Tail name.

"same qualities (ingredients) as the ale, just a touch better from the switch in fermentation method. still not impressive. underwhelming beer. average at best."

jcwattsrugger (12590) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - MAR 9, 2010
on tap-pours a white ring for a head and gold color. Aroma is grain, (some corn?). taste is grain (some corn?), hint of hops.
