COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
White Hawk is a traditional IPA .The IPA recipe is based on the original 1880 brew that was sent to India for the British troops. The advent of India Pale Ale was born of a need to supply beer in the 1800’s to British troops in India. This hearty, heavily hopped ale was brewed to endure the rigors of the long voyage from Great Britain.

White Hawk Original IPA was launched in California in early 2002 to meet the demand for a unique India Pale Ale. Consumer response for White Hawk IPA exceeded expectations and it is fast gaining a loyal following both in 6 pack and on draft.

22 oz bottle. (Food Pantry) Honolulu, HI.
Hazy golden color with a small off-white head. Sweet dark fruity hops, mild sugary sweetness, prunes, some unfreshness and maltiness in the aroma. The flavor is harsh herbal hops, moderate bitterness, unfreshness and dryish maltiness.

Deep golden with thin white head. Very hoppy and pungent aroma. Tastes of tropical fruit at first and it gets very bitter after the first sip. A typical IPA. Not bad.

TorbenJensen (1548) - Valby, DENMARK - SEP 13, 2015
Potent rich aroma of exotic fruit and citrus. Taste of light caramel malt with a hint of orange peel and pine needles and citrus. Medium malty richness with dry aftertaste where the aforementioned flavors dominate and give an IPA which is very kind of real, balanced and tasty.

Boutip (6486) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 1, 2015
Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a nice large foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of citrus hops notes with light dry caramel malt notes. Taste is also a mix between some citrus hops notes with some dry caramel malt notes with medium bitterness. Body is average with good carbonation. Average old school IPA.

It pours as light gold with a finger’s worth of foam. Nice lacing ensues. The nose has good balance to it. Flowery hop mild bitters mixed with caramel malt. The bitterness from the hops is sharp but tempered by malt. It’s actually more bitter, flowery-herbal, than I expected from the smell. There’s grapefruit hitting my palate but it’s sharing duties with herbal and flower like bitterness. The malt comes across as lightly sweet with some biscuit. Good mouthfeel, good drinkability. Good IPA.

22 oz bottle. Aroma: citrusy and dank, with hints of musty basement, apricot, orange, and Budweiser. Taste/Palate: starts sweet, and finishes bitter and a bit tart.

julesjis (256) - Oregon, USA - JAN 19, 2015
Poured from a 22. Aroma has an apricot nose to it. It is a bit watery and doesn’t have any strong/present flavors. Flavor is definitely a stone fruit type flavor with a bitter and slightly metallic finish. The beer looked chewy with all the floaties in it, but really was surprisingly thin. Not bad - a decent every day drinker. Masks the 7% pretty well!

An English IPA with Cascade and Fugle hops. Fruity and hoppy. An excelent IPA for the hot days.
